The threaded insert comes loose repeatedly.

I had to put lock tire on the threaded insert and haven’t tried it since. It kept coming loose while I was working on my lathe and it was very annoying

Excellent operation but needs some adjustment

This live center holds very well and I like the teeth around the circumference of the end. It seems to help when the stock end is not perfectly flat. However, after a few hours of use, I noticed that the retaining ring on the rear of the unit had some loose. After this happened a couple of times I used some locktite and that has fixed the problem. That is just a minor problem and this live center is my main unit.

Works beautifully

This allows you to put a live "steb-type" centre in your tailstock. Works beautifully, free spinning and holds well.

Item as received was used.

The live center had specks of wood chips on it it, and metal showed markings, indicating it had been used prior to shipment. For now at least, the center seems to be functioning as designed.
