Not the same quality as they used to be.

I bought this item 3rd time in a few years. One of those 3 times was for a gift. Recently one of the three peelers broke and another one got lost. So I was down to only one. I came back to buy another set. They look practicaly identical, but I found that the new ones are not as good as the older ones were. If the vegetable I peel is not hard (for example asparagus) these new ones will slip and won't peel well. On the harder veggies like carrots and potatoes they work fine, but I still feel a bit of a difference. Overall they do the job and they are still better than many other peelers on the market. And I would still recommend them over other peelers (and I tried A LOT!!!) Their blades are made out of the metal that rusts. They always were like that. That is why they are so sharp and work so well. Because of that specific metal. Because of that do NOT put them in the dishwasher and do not throw them into the sink with your dirty dishes! Because they WILL rust. They are ridiculously easy to clean. Just rinse them after use, dry with papertowel or kitchen towel and put them away. And they will last forever and will not rust. Mine never rusted, but I knew they will if I leave them out in the sink for long enough.

Love these. They are easy to use, peel the skin leaves the veggies intact. Only bad thing and it's not really a bad thing is don't put in dishwasher. Wash and dry immediately so it doesn't rust. Well worth the price.

Good peelers!

I knew these were very popular with TV chefs and ATK, and now I see why. Very sharp, fit in my hand nicely, and just work better than other styles I have used. Should have bought these years ago...Oh - and they're inexpensive!

Lightweight, compact, and really sharp.

I bought these to replace my typical side peeler after it broke while I was peeling some potatos. I really like the design and how the blade is centered to the handle. They are smaller compared to my old peeler, so sometime holding them is a little awkward at first, but I easily adjusted after a few uses. WARNING: They are really sharp! Be careful not to rub your hand or fingers over the peeler part. I've cut myself a few times. Like other users have mentioned, you really don't need to apply the same amount of pressure as with the side peelers, barely any at all and the thing slices great! Overall, they are lightweight, compact, and make the job of peeling everything a lot easier compared to my old peeler. I'm very happy with the purchase.

They work well

We had an old peeler from way back. It works but looks tatty. Went for these and found them easy to use and suitable for small hands. Why three? Well, you know how you always lose one in the drawer, or it is in the dishwasher?

Great peeler

The second I used this peeler I was impressed! Man this thing can cut! It'll make my food prep sessions so much better. The only issue I have is I wish it was longer. I have a hard time holding it. I'm a tall guy with big hands and everything is made for the average sized person, I guess, but I would think that it would be even too small for most people. It doesn't stop me from recommending it, though. This thing can really peel well! Highly recommend it!

Genuine, but must be kept dry!

The peeler blades are made from carbon steel, which are sharp, be they require a lot of care. Carbon steel can’t be left wet or else the blade will rust very quickly. Wash immediately after finished using and dry immediately after washing. I let my peeler air dry and the blade then started rusting after 3 days. The black carbon steel will also turn silver/grey if exposed to acids such as fruit juices. The peeler is very good 5/5 quality. But the high level of maintenance required is an issue for me. Forgetting to dry immediately just once can wreck the blade.

It's a very good
