The body, the blood, the machine

I got this on the advice of my vet because I have two elderly middle-age cats who need exercise. It makes a nice presentation: the fish print on the outside is reasonably convincing, and it's nice that you can unzip it and pull out the mechanism if you want to stuff the body with catnip or put it in the laundry. As for the "built-in motion sensor", I haven't taken the thing apart to see how it works but I suspect that it's just a low-torque DC motor that needs a whack to get it going and then runs for a while until it freezes up. It basically works, but probably not as well as a true sensor-based device would work. Thing is, even when I got it going my cat just stared at it for a while and then looked at me with a sort of "uh, really?" expression, and the other one ignored it. So it seems that I like it better than they do. At least it was cheap; I can't complain too much.

We enjoy as much as the cats

The cats attack this thing at random. We get more enjoyment than they do. Holds a charge for several days.

Awesome Interactive Cat Toy!

My cat has loved this toy sooo much! She loves playing with it! It’s pretty tough and durable too! Battery doesn’t last very long, but that’s expected for its size, and the hard work it does keeping my car happy! It is a little bit loud, but we have another one that’s quiet, and I think my cat is more attracted to the noise it produces when it’s flopping around, so I don’t mind that either. Great toy for the price!

Floppy Fish Works Well

At first, my cat wasn't sure what to do with the fish when it was flopping around, but after a while, he started playing with it. When the charge on it dies, my cat likes to sleep with it like it's a pillow.

I love this. My cat wasn't impressed.

I think this is a great cat toy. It flops around like a real fish out of water. My cat just didn't like it like I do. I even tried letting it flop around in a bag. Nope, she couldn't care less. Maybe another cat would appreciate it.

Cute but NOISY

My cat loves this thing. She doesn't slap it around like the videos, but she'll pin it down until it stops going off then set it off again. It's super cute and works great! The mechanism is just really loud - it makes a constant whirring noise. It drives me so crazy I have to hide the fish from her sometimes.

Lasted 2 months

The cats absolutely loved this and dis not get bored with it, mainly because the pattern of movement changed. Unfortunately it only lasted just short of 2 months, I had hoped it would last a little longer than that. The plastic link between the mechanism and flipping tail has broken although the motor still works it cant really be fixed. We've bought them another brand but it doesnt flip quite as much.

Meh fish

My satisfaction is below average, the cats are intregued but not in love, the kids like it. First, the fish is ugly, it has nothing to do with the pictures or the box art. It looks like a 5 year old drawing a fish while the art looks photo realistic. The motion activation is the only thing this fish has going for it, it doesn't just move until the battery runs out.

My kitten is obsessed

The media could not be loaded. For the money it is great value. At first I think the noise it makes scared my cat, but if you start playing with them with the fish, that helps. Video taken on day 2. Battery life could be longer but at the same time it charges very quickly so no biggie.

My Kitten loves this!

Best $20 ever spent! My kitten wrestles with this for hours! It's durable and affordable. I wish it had a longer charge but overall this is a great Cat/Kitten toy!
