A must have

So this thing allows me to use my phone gps while still having access to the trailer brakes. As long as the app is open is open in the background it works. Just have to reconnect in the app every time you unplug or get to far from the brake controller.

A nice addition to a great brake controller.

I can't say enough about the Echo portable brake controller. It is easy to use and functions as advertised. The app is a great way to interface to the controller. Adding the button means I can put the phone away (as long as the Echo app is running) and quickly access braking. My only dig, it should come in somewhat less garish colors. Not cool against my gray/black/wood Audi dash.

Does not stick

I purchased this because it was easier to use this button instead of my phone. After sticking it to the dash, it immediately fell off and can’t get it to sick. Do t really want to use glue but may have to. Other than that it worked quite well. This is the reason to rate as 4 out of 5 stars.

Only works if you have app open on your phone

You have to open your phone pair the app with the echo, brake controller, then this will connect and work. Does not work independently after pairing.

Easier to reach than the 'button' on the phone.

It's difficult to mount a cell phone to make the manual 'button' easily reachable while driving. This button is always firmly mounted in the same location.

Easier and safer than looking down at your phone sitting in the cup holder

Actually very easy to pair and use. Works fine..however could easily be mistaken for a water bottle cap and get tossed!

Provides constant access to manual braking. Works great. Easy to install. A must add on to your Curt ECHO Smart brake controller.
