The best fry pan

I bought 5-6 different brands in past. This one is simply the best! Light, non stick and easy to clean.

Non-stick lasted less than a year

It arrived with a flaw in the cooking surface (a chip or tiny gouge or something). I used it anyway and after a few months started to have stuff stick and burn onto it while using. It was great for a little while.

great heat distribution! and best non-stick I've had!! it is made from heavy duty heavy thick metal so the heat distribution is excellent. do not use metal utensils on it, even tho they say u can, because it can scratch. this is the best non stick surface i have ever had, i've used it dozens of times. it cleans like magic cuz nothing sticks to it. for comparison, i have purchased copper colored non stick, (which was nice but too thin and not as good nonstick as this) and even a 120 dollar swiss diamond dust impregnated pan and this one beats them all. the only draw backs are, no lid is included, and the shape is rather rounded on the bottom which can narrow the number of flat item u can cook at once, like grilled cheese or pancakes, but that is probably the purposeful intended shape for cooking certain other things. the handle is so heavy duty that my other pans are ashamed of themselves. lol this pan is so worth the money. and the shipping box was astoundingly huge and protective of it!!

Not dishwasher safe

I bought this to replace a similar one I had which showed significant greying from dishwasher use. This one, though aluminum, was supposedly coated sufficiently to endure the dishwasher. In fact, it says so on the bottom of the pan! However, after less than a year of use, the rivets are greying and the bottom, which slides a bit on my gas stove burners, shows the exterior coating coming off, and signs of dishwasher greying. Grrr! Beware that you're gonna have to hand wash this baby if you want to keep it a long time. Calpholon's warranty is, send it back at your expense and we'll decide if we'll reimburse you. Nope. Amazon's warranty is 30 days, and it didn't start to disappoint until 6 months out. So nope. Caveat Emptor.

Replacement for a Calphalon frying pan that we just wore out. High quality product. I expect to get many years of use; just like the one I "retired"

Awesome cookware

This is a real sauté/omelette pan. Teflon free and no stick. Oven proof. Love it!

Beautifully constucted and made in the U.S.A.

I can't yet honestly comment on the long term durability. I think I should wait for five years. However, it has all of the earmarks of cookware made for decades of functional use. The metal handle is riveted and does not get hot during use. I've cleaned the bottom with Easy-off (to remove baked on oil and fat) and used the pan on my stove's metal gratting. The bottom coating which looks like the cooking surface does not show signs of wear. After a years daily use, I can still easily wipe the cooked residue out of the pan with a paper towel. The manufacturer says that it is metal utensil safe, but I agree with another reviewer - I would never use metal on a non-stick surface. It is a coating after all. If you buy this American product rather that one from the inundation of cookware that China provides - long term, you won't regret it.

Great quality nonstick omelet pan

We bought this for panfrying. It is well built, sturdy, easy to clean and great to fry egg and other panfry food. It is smaller than I expected. But for making omelet, it is good enough. The price is kind of high for me. And there is not much selection for other size from this manufacture on Amazon.ca.

Great frypan

Calphalon is my favorite brand of fry pan. So easy to use and clean. Goes in the oven often. Works great!
