One of the only 30" tall options good for 36" high countertops. Fits in a standard 16" oc stud bay.

Quality construction. One of the only decent 30" tall options; provides more space than most (Other 30" tall mirrors hide a very short cabinet) but still fits above a 36" countertop plus backsplash. Mirrored on the back of the mirror door and on the back of the cabinet. As others have noted, does not come with the side panel mirrors required for external installation. Comes with three glass shelves. Installed in-wall; fits easily inside a 16" oc stud bay, but the surround is only 15" wide, so that you can't have any slop *at all* in cutting out the drywall without exposing a gap on one side or the other. Mirror door has 3 axis adjustments which help if your studs aren't quite plumb. Note that neither of our two units came with the swing-out makeup mirror which is shown in the various pictures on-line and also shown in the installation instructions. The provided screws are soft and strip easily, the hex head works better than a phillips driver.

Great unit, but just too expensive for what it is

This is a really nice looking and very functional unit. The hinge is quiet and smooth. The interior is sufficient for most bathroom usage - really no better or worse than my cheap previous unit which this one replaces. But I do like the addition of the mirrored interior. The shelves seem substantial and are easily installed. And I like the flush and clean look of the mirror when the cabinet is closed. There is no ugly framing around the glass as most Home Depot/Lowes models tend to exhibit. My only complaint is that this unit is far too expensive for what it is. If the pricing was more inline with what I imagine to be the true cost of materials and labor needed to manufacture this item, then I think five stars would be absolutely acceptable. My brief research on the net shows that the medicine cabinet racket seems to be just that, a bit of a racket. And Kohler is making some easy money off of us. Nevertheless, seeing as how all of the quality cabinets are way overpriced, it is fair to say that this seems to be a really good one.

Nice cabinet. I bought 4 and installed 3 side-by-side in a single bathroom. Note if you want to mount them side-by-side a single 2x4 on edge is not quite enough spacing. I spaced them 2 inches apart and that leaves about 1/2" between the glass. If you want the soft-close like the newer more expensive Kohler cabinets, replace the hinges with Liberty 840704, about $10 per pair. Perfect fit replacements add a nice touch. I dropped a star because Kohler is so cheap with the $0.06 clips that hold the shelves. They are flimsy and Kohler gives you just enough - no spares. But call and complain and they will send you some more.

Nice Medicine Cabinet

This is a nice medicine cabinet. I like the mirrored inside and out. The cut out was a little bigger than medicine cabinet but you can’t tell. There is a lip that expands beyond the cut out making it camouflage the size difference.

This is a nice cabinet and it recesses pretty well. I also appreciate that the size is what we needed to fit between our beams. Two things are less than thrilling: 1. It does indeed slam shut (or needs baby-sitting to keep it from doing so) 2. It's easy to get fingerprints on it (opening it without touching the mirror is difficult) Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. I like the mirrored interior and the glass shelves are solid.

This is a beautiful and functional addition to my bathroom. Fits snugly against the wall, looks amazing in my remodeled bathroom. Came very well packaged, no broken glass or damage. Easy to install with the door opening in either direction, no need to move the door, the cabinet can be inverted to have the door swing the other way. Great product Kohler!
