Excellent facehshield that will protect your face from flying debris during wood turning.

I don't even turn on my lathe without wearing this faceshield. It has protected my face from flying debris, broken bowl parts, during turning. I also wear this faceshield when I am sharpening my tools on the bench grinder.

Good Protection

I use this when I'm using the string trimmer. I had tried goggles but grass still would hit me in the face and the goggles would fog. This face shield doesn't fog and protects the whole face. I gave also used it when cutting wood. The pieces of grass and sawdust on the shield show that it is doing its job.

This is great!

This works great. It's super easy to adjust the size and that comes in handy when I'm wearing it over a hat or over hearing protection muffs. It's simple to pop up and down, and it's comfortable enough that I've found myself forgetting to lower it when I should have it down.

A must have

The UVEX Face Shield featuring an anti-fog coating is a welcome addition to my line of tools. It protects my face from flying debris and does not fog up during use. I am a jack of all trades, while a master of none. The face shield will be great while doing wood working projects and is a must have for my current project which is grinding off paint from a basement block wall.

Completely saved me. Cheaper than a trip to the emergency room.

5 years ago I had basic safety glasses. They were uncomfortable and one time using a wire wheel I could feel a few stray wires sneak up behind the glasses. I realized I wanted a full face mask so nothing could sneak by again. So I bought this thing and at first used it casually for a lot of small projects. Cutting wood and string trimming the yard. I could see neighbors walking by kinda looking over as I probably look ridiculous with this thing on. More than once it saved my face from things my string trimmer hit and knocked back to my face. Probably would have been minor injuries but I always figured it was probably worth it. That was until today. I was using a high lift jack. The kind you use for a jeep but I was using it to pull fence posts. I had pulled several posts already with this thing but one post for some reason was very stuck. So stuck I could see the jack actually bend a little. I got nervous and decided to release the jack. On this jack you undo it's clip then you pull the handle all the way down to release the load. Under normal circumstances the jaw part of it just releases and falls straight down. What I didn't realize is that if it was maxed out on load it's very dangerous. So THANKFULLY I had this mask on and when I pulled the handle all the way down it clicked to release. All the lifting force was transferred to the handle and it flew upwards. It smashed this mask and ripped it off my head. Looking at it afterwords the rubber grip on the jack handle also dragged against the plastic front so hard it peeled some plastic off it. Almost if you took a knife and shaved a layer of the plastic off. So I imagine without this mask I'd be looking at a broken jaw at least and part of my face torn open or skin rubbed off. Maybe even worse since it looks like the gash on the mask goes up to where my eye is. This thing absolutely saved me a trip to the emergency room. Maybe you don't like safety glasses because they're uncomfortable, fog up, or you think it makes you look weird. After this experience I'm buying another one of these. I'll take the weird look from neighbors and friends over a serious injury and ER visit.

Good face shield

I have but one negative note, it's not a clear as I'd like it to be. (Note: I wear glasses and maybe my prescription and the shield don't go well together) but it does keep debris from hitting my face.

No fogging up at all.

I bought these specifically for when I do power carvings and the best part about this shield is it doesn’t fog up at all, perfect vision every time I used it and equally important is the fact it’s super tough protection from flying chips as it happened to me on couple of occasions, very thankful I had these on. Wouldn’t hesitate in buying these again and strongly recommend for anyone who does wood turning/ power carving or woodworking in general.

Good protection

As a wood turner, I’ve had my share of chunks of wood spinning off a workpiece. This friend has protected me faithfully, without buckling or scratching. The only (minor) negative is a tendency to fog on cold days, but skiers’ antifog cloths work well. The fit is quite adjustable, and almost actually comfortable, not something I could say about it’s cheaper predecessor. If it breaks, I will buy the same type again.

Esta mascarilla de cara completa es muy buena, protege muy bien, se puede graduar, no se empaña, es cómoda y tiene muy buena visibilidad. Ahora sí le podrás decir a Godzilla "sí, es verdad que estoy gastando mucho en herramientas, y qué?" Sólo asegúrate de tener puesta la mascarilla cuando se lo digas :-)

Excellent Shield - just not what I need

Excellent so far - just opened it and assembled it and tired it on - didnt' accept finger prints! Pretty neat. The face plate came with a blue plastic coating on both sides, so you just take the shield out and rip them off of course before using it, but I was happy to see it there when I opened the box - meant no scratches before using it. ONLY complaint, is that it doesn't fit my 3M respirator underneath, it's far too close to your face to fit any sort of respirator outside of one of those cheapo cloth dust masks. Sort of very upset about that, but live and learn. I don't see how it's worth the money either, it's just a face shield. Again, live and learn.

Perfect for home shop - using a router and table saw.

Took a while before I could buy one because of COVID priorities of safety equipment. I absolutely understand this but its also very important to use safety equipment around power tools as well. I'm glad Amazon seems to have struck a good balance. This is top quality and doesn't fog up. Way better than just safety glasses. For me, it's definitely worth the price!
