Weird texture - shriveled when molding

I’m going to preface this review by saying this is NOT the first time I’ve molded a mouth guard for my son. Also, I do not like writing poor reviews, but I want others to learn from my mistake and also understand what they’re buying. The texture of this mouth guard is very weird. It is rough rather than smooth. The first time I tried molding it, the mouthguard accidentally touched the side of the pot and instantly shriveled up. So I had to throw it away and purchase another one understanding that error was my fault. I ordered another mouthguard (exact same one) to try to mold it again. This time I only kept it in the hot water for about 30 seconds while holding the tether to ensure it didn’t hit the side of the pot again. I noticed it starting to shrivel again, so I removed from the hot water, rinsed under cold for a couple seconds per the instructions, and had my son try to form it. He hated it! The texture was weird and rough, the top curved in, and he said it was very uncomfortable. It was a waste of money and we will be sticking to the shock doctor gel mouthguard from now on.

Useless

Mouthguard shrinks when being boiled. Unable to mold to his teeth. Completely misshapen and unable to insert the strap and the front pattern boils off too. Complete waste of my money. DON'T BUY

Caution - shrinks when molding to fit, buy older UA version instead

No clear instructions included for molding to fit, so followed instructions from other UA mouth guard - this one shrunk& deformed so badly it is useless. Disappointed that UA Partnered with Shock Dr for this one (smaller fit to begin with for an adult mouth) & older UA version was much better

Don’t buy this

As soon as we boiled this it was warped and shrunken. Couldn’t even get it into my sons mouth.

It's definitely worth the money, my son was having issues with the typical mouth piece, it was uncomfortable the this was perfect for him
