CUTE but MISSING wood sticks

I love the way this looks BUT my desktop file holder did NOT come with the wooden sticks. My husband bought dowels and custom cut them for me.. for as much as this cost it should have came with the wood sticks.

disappointed

I generally like U products, but was disappointed with the way it’s made. I love the way it looks on my desk, but it’s really hard to slide the files on the wood. It can get really frustrating.

SAND AND WAX THE WOOD BEFORE USING

This thing works great IF YOU PREPARE THE WOOD. Hanging file folders with metal hooks DO NOT slide easily on this wood, BUT! If you sand it with some 120 grit and some fine steel wool, and then spend some time running a tea light or other candle all over it, it will break in quickly. Even after preparation you'll probably have slide the hanging folders back and forth to wear it in but I promise you it will eventually work wonderfully. Aesthetically it's beautiful, it's super sturdy, and the one I got didn't have any of the problems other people mention here so it suits my needs all around. Did I mention you have to sand and wax the wood? Cause you have to sand and wax the wood.

Holds a lot of files, and looks so chic!

Holds more files than I expected. The rods are sturdy regardless of what other reviews say. Yes, they are easy to take off, but they don’t just pop off or anything. No, the files don’t slide easily, but I recommend this for things you want to store (important documents / baby memory box, etc) because those things aren’t things you need to access on the regular. It’s so pretty and chic. Much more aesthetically pleasing than a plastic box.

Classy look and sturdy, wooden rungs could use sanding

Love the aesthetic. Only minor complaint is that file folders don't slide very well along the raw wood rods.
