Heavy, Very Strong and sturdy.

I bought this because it appears to have the most solid mount of the umbrella holder to the base. We got these for a windy deck and used some clamps to clamp them down to the deck. A couple of days ago a gust of wind pulled the cover off a tilted umbrella and broke 2 of the umbrella ribs. The base suffered no damage. My only beef at the moment is that the 2 screws just dig into a wooden umbrella pole: I will have to go buy some metal to go between the screws and the umbrella base.

Excellent for use at end of a dock

Just got this stand a few days ago, and it is well made. The problem I had with less expensive stands was the connection of the umbrella sleeve to the base was the weak point, usually just a single bolt up through the base. Over time, that sleeve would loosen up, and the umbrella would have a tilt. Might not be a problem for those that use the base with a table, but for us, we are using the base as the sole support for an umbrella at the end of a dock, so without a table there is not additional lateral support. The sleeve on this base is welded to a flange, which in turn is bolted to the round base with four 1/4" cap screws. Expensive, but for our use, seems to be worth it.

Best umbrella stand I've owned. Heavy with a wide base so it doesn't tip over. To move, I tip on its side and roll to where I want it.

Well, they work...but they were damaged when I got them

I purchased 2 of these to use in conjunction with a display stand and for that purpose, they work great, but when I got them, both were chipped pretty bad and were missing small chunks of it. In both cases, I don't believe the shipment protection was as effective as it should be. With something of this size and weight, you really need a lot more protection than a small layer of bubble wrap and some cardboard. I would have sent them right back had I not needed them within the next 2 days.

Very Happy

Very heavy and seems like good quality. It's been able to hold up our umbrella in very strong windy conditions. Very happy with this purchase, it was worth the money. The plastic piece did arrive damaged from being squashed by the metal piece during transit, was Amazon was willing to exchange it.

this heavy umbrella stand is ideal for our west facing deck. Like it so much we purchased a second one.

Expensive but fantastic stand!

I went through about 3 stands because they kept breaking when I tried to move my umbrella. I saw this one and was like wow it costs 3X as much as the one I bought at ACE hardware. However, this thing is super sturdy and worth the price. It just feels so much more stable and well built. I have had NO problems with this stand and have moved my umbrella all over the patio!

The stability is great!! This is very heavy!! I have large wooden market umbrellas. They finally won’t tip over!!!
