Big chair

Tough, but slightly uncomfortable

I was hoping that the seat was a bit more solid for ease of getting in and out, but it does dip down when you sit in it which can make it really cut into the back of your legs if you're not careful. It does feel very sturdy however, and seems that it can stand up to about anything!

Poor design and materials

I bought this chair for my spouse who is 6’3” and weighs 300 lbs. We wanted a taller seat height and no worries about him sitting in the chair and feeling unsupported. The seat is a bit higher, and it feels secure. However, there are a lot of issues. We have had the chair for 3 months. The grommet which surrounds the chair arm where the seat attaches is very uncomfortable as they dig into the sides of your legs (even me and I am not heavy). They also cracked pretty much immediately as shown in the picture. The fabric has faded significantly in the sun, which is not such an issue for us but is noteworthy. The fabric also holds water, so if it rains the seat is a massive puddle which will not drain on its own. We have to tip the seat and leave it tipped for at least half an hour before setting it right side up to let the sun do it’s work. So don’t plan on using it for a day if it rained. If only we could buy replacements for the best chairs ever that literally have lasted 14 years! We leave them out for the warm weather season and alas the canvas has finally run it’s course. Sniff. Definitely will not buy another one of these chairs and do not recommend purchasing them, no matter what height and weight you are.

NOT AT ALL COMFORTABLE

Purchased this chair for my adult son. He advised that at first he thought he just needed to get used to it. Now, he advises it is extremely uncomfortable. Material described as "scratchy" and it creates an "itchy" feeling on any body part that touches the material. He also said it offers no back support of any kind, and for a chair billed as being made for larger people, it clearly is not. He says it's the most uncomfortable chair he's ever sat in. For the money spent on it, I expected a whole lot more. This chair is not recommended for anyone.

Sturdy but stinks

We got this for a very plus sized friend (over 500lbs) and the seat was too narrow and the front bars cut into his legs. It also stinks really bad of Licorice and plastic. It scent stains people who sit in it. I do NOT recommend this seat for the smell. It does feel super sturdy though.

This Chair Is Awesome!

I'm a big guy at 450+ lbs. We needed a camp chair for me to go to Flaming Gorge for Memorial Day weekend and found this and saw the capacity rating and reviews and decided to try it. It was worth every penny. I have used it for the camping trip and numerous times since for various events outside like cookouts and parades and such over the entire summer. It has held up well to my heavy weight and still feels sturdy and ready for more outdoor adventure. We keep this in the car a lot in case I need to rest while out geocaching. The only thing and I mean only thing that is somewhat of a 'con' is it is difficult to get back in the bag, but I think that just goes along with the territory of bag chairs. Everyone I know eventually quits bothering with the bag and just brings the chair. Maybe one day I will too, but since this is heavy duty and not the lightest thing in the world, it is very handy to be able to just carry it in the bag over my shoulder. If you need a chair with a high weight capacity or just want a travel chair that isn't a piece of junk and doesn't feel sturdy, you won't be disappointed with this product.

Hmmmm, I thought this was a good chair but after seven evenings of use it had broken on the front joint and I weigh less than half its stated capacity, time to contact Amazon to see what they suggest because I am not thinking its good value now!

Plastic gromets

Purchased this chair for my son. Chair itself is good but the plastic grommets broke after a couple of uses. Is not suitable for large person.
