Buy more than one!

Love this umbrella! If you live in the city, this umbrella is a MUST. It keeps the top half of you (including your purse and briefcase) dry without messing up your hair with a hat/hood, but you can still see where you’re walking and be aware of your surroundings. If you go to a sporting event and it rains, you can still watch the game and stay dry underneath. I carry two in my car - one for me and one for my husband if we have to sit through a rainy soccer game. To extend the life, wipe off when wet before putting away to keep plastic clear. So far, wind hasn’t done any damage to it. Very happy with the price.

Made for perfect wedding photos

Rain is a nightmare for photographers, especially when the plan is for all outside pictures. I recently had a wedding scheduled with rain forecasted for the entire day. On a whim, I bought two of these umbrellas, hoping we could get some great photos outside even if it did rain all day. These did not disappoint! They are sleek and beautiful and just the right size. I’m so happy I was able to get some gorgeous photos despite the rain. I purchased these for how they would look, but I was pleasantly surprised at the great quality as well.

cute and nice to hold

The weather was doing rather terrible, and as soon as it came in the rain stopped! However, I messed around with it and it holds well and is very cute. It's wide enough I could probably fit another person around my size under it. I need something to keep my glasses from getting wet and this will do perfectly, the last thing I need on a rainy day is to be blinded by the rain drops on my glasses. Ranked 2nd in scariest item right below Children's Toy Ball, which currently ranks supreme in my two 1 year old puppies' top ten scariest items.

Great bubble umbrella, almost as good as a Fulton

My wife has a Futon bubble umbrella and I decided to try this Tote as it is almost 30% cheaper (Futon charges $16 shipping on Amazon.ca!). So, here is the direct comparison between the two brands. - the Tote's bubble is very slightly larger than the Fulton Bubble. Tote wins. - the Tote's has a very thin grey line at the bottom perimeter of the bubble while the Fulton has a much wider white (can be other colors) line. The wider line allows people to see the space occupied by the umbrella better when they walk around you on the sidewalks. On the other hand the vision from inside the bubble is slightly better with the Tote as the line does not interfere at all. No winner, it's a mater of preference. - the opening mechanism is definitely superior for the Fulton; it is acceptable for the Tote. Fulton wins. - the transparent plastic is very slightly thicker for the Fulton but it is sufficiently thick for the Tote to last at least for a while. Fulton wins. - the plastic of the Fulton does not smell and does not stick. The plastic of the Tote does not smell and does not stick either. No winner. - the handle is white on the Fulton, grey on the Tote. It is better quality for the Fulton. Fulton wins. - overall the Fulton is better built but I don't believe it is worth the 30% price premium. For the price/quality ratio Tote wins. I will see how long it lasts but I suspect it will be just slightly shorter for the Tote than the Fulton but not by much. I thought I would send it back and get a Fulton if it was not good enough but I am satisfied with it and I am keeping it. If you don't mind paying 30% more for a plastic umbrella, the Fulton is the better choice. Otherwise, the Tote is an excellent choice.

Don’t waste you money

***Not as advertised!, 1) not made by Totes 2) not a canopy style. Just a regular very cheep dollar store quality umbrella.

very low quality

This product arrived both defective (the strap that wraps around to hold it together is missing the snap), and damaged (a hole in the umbrella, yet the packaging seems fine. This is a very low quality product, like dollar store calibre. Might be ok for a child (as a disposable item that will last a week or few), but certainly not to be used by an adult for any period of time. I've requested a refund.
