Should be shipped unassembled

It worked and has the right parts. However, in most cases you won't have enough space to screw it on. The pipe does not bend enough so it does not help. Also, you won't be able to pull out the elbows, so you will cut the pipe, screw on the elbow and re-attach the pipe.

Helped lower a high sprinkler head

One sprinkler head was sticking up a little high. Needed to resort to using a 2" sprinkler body and the smallest riser available to get it low enough so the mower wouldn't hit it but the short 2" body wasn't clearing the grass and resulting in uneven spray. The Toro Funny Pipe Joint solved the problem. The sprinkler is a couple of inches off to the side but it can now accommodate a 4" Toro 570z sprinkler body that works better. The flexibility of the funny pipe made it possible to get it low enough in the ground so there were no clearance issues. Using this meant not having to dig up a lot of the lawn to try and get the pipe lowered. Only a small area around the sprinkler head need to be dug up. Big time saver.

Not a flexible and one would've thought, but still good

I bought eight of these for a DIY sprinkler system. The assembly is up to the task and is working well. I would suggest you get the longest length available as the 8 inch as a bit too short. Also, the pipe itself is not as flexible as I would've expected. You can bend this to about 30 degrees at best. Don't expect it to bend completely without the pipe collapsing.

Wish it came disassembled.

It's not practical. Wish it came disassembled. You would have to cut the hose to get it to fit how you want it in ideal situations. I didn't think of it until it came time for application. Went to home Depot and bought pieces separately and made sense.

Far cheaper than our hadware store for the same thing. Made installing a big system much easier and cheaper. The flexible tubing is the key ingredient for fine tuning sprinkler height above the feeder pipe. The main line depth is a near non-issue, I found.

Simple and effective

These funny pipe connectors are a life saver if you bump one of the sprinkler heads. They also give you room to make minor corrections to the position of the head. Installation couldn't be easier and it will save you hours over making your own.
