You get what you pay for

I like the fact its folded into a bag with handles and easy to move around. Its not very durable at all thi and is already seperating at the seams but you get what you pay for. Ill be using it for camping and to place dirty shoes on soo hopefully i can get a few good uses out of it before it completely falls apart.

Worked out well

I was looking for something I could spread under my yoga mat when I do a routine outdoors . This oversized mat worked out well. It’s not thick, but offered protection from the damp ground, folded up very easily, and was light weight. I can’t speak to durability yet. Being woven plastic, it should be easy to hose down, I think, and should dry quickly when the time comes. Also I really like the self carry aspect. No need for a separate tote.

Perfect for our beach vacation!!

We ordered this, to take on our vacation to Destin! I was so happy to have it with us. It held up well, did not get hot out in the summer sun, and because of the woven straw, the sand just shakes straight through it, when putting it away!! Other reviewers commented on the folding aspect, and being able to get it back the way it was for the cover and Velcro to latch. While we didn't have it exactly perfect each time, we were able to easily get it back into a position for the cover and Velcro to latch, and that was good enough for me. If you want it perfectly put away each time, you might have to work on your folding technique a bit. For us, we were happy, the way it ended up. After a week at the beach and several people laying on it, eating on it, and playing on it, it's still in good shape and waiting on future use!!! I would recommend this product!!

Meets expectation

I had a mat made of the same material before, but my sister stole it. So I wanted another one. Didn't know this brand so wasn't sure how good the quality would be. I've used it only once and it seems to hold up fine. I like the synthetic straw because it is water resistant, and, therefore, easy care (real straw will break and mildew more easily if not taken care of). It's not waterproof, since the straw is woven together, not one solid piece of plastic. But I knew this and is fine with this. From past experience, the woven structure also means that if I use it on a sandy ground, the sand that gets on the surface will fall through, leaving the mat comfortable to step on without getting sand allo ver my feet. Used it on a dewy park lawn, but once the sun came out, the dewy grass underneath dried out. Nice, big size. Bigger than most fold-up picnic mats.

Decent mat

Got this to put under my futon mattress for some added separation from the floor. It is put together decently. Some people mentioned how it frays at the ends and other minor problems, which I could see happening due to constant or more heavy use. It's more lightweight than heavy duty, definitely lighter than a bath towel or blanket used for picnics/beaches. If you plan for lots of use and want something more heavy duty and durable, it is probably more worth while to look for something else like an army blanket. But if you are careful with it and not too rough, it should last a decent time.

Nice sturdy mat

I have a little deck attached to my bedroom. I bought this matt to use for yoga there. I have a yoga mat but it's a little thinner than I would like. This one works great. I can use it alone or put the yoga mat on top. It's wide enough for two people as long as they're not fat, certainly two children. It would work wonderfully on the sand, in the fields on grass etc. you could easily keep it in the trunk of your car as it folds up to the size of a small, flat pillow.

Good Beach Mat

Looking for a mat to lay your beach items on, yet wanting to keep the sand off at the same time? Well this will definitely do it. It also has plenty of room for laying out or having a small picnic. Great for the price. Folding it up in the wind was the only con. Otherwise, you can't beat it. Frankly, though, I wouldn't trade the cool ocean breeze for anything, not even a good folding mat. It won't be a waste of money. It seems durable and is very easy to store after use. Nice looking too!

The tatami has started fraying, but it's a nice mat if you take care not to hook the lining edges anywhere.
