OK for needs

Bought as gift for elderly parent to be able to tell time easily and not have battery changes. Sadly the make is so basic I could have made this from a craft store kit. It is not mechanical. It's a face with a cheap clock box on the back with a cord (looks just like a battery pack apparatus) and keeps OK time. The price point was way too high.

Large numbers make it very easy to read. It's a clock. It tells time. Not the prettiest or fanciest but does it's job.

Battery backup

Wish it had a battery backup in case power goes out

Working fine in the barn

Bought this to replace two previous clocks that had stopped working in the barn. Has been up for over six months with no problems. It hangs only a few feet from the outside when the barn door is open (most of the time). It has been rain upon a few times and battered by the wind and keeps on ticking.

Frame is not deep

I've bought quite a few electric clocks for the office over the past 10 years - I find they don't last longer than 3-4 years. This latest version of the Chicago Lighthouse clock has a frame that is not very deep - we can't seem to position them to cover the receptacles on the wall. My electrician is going to change the plug to a flat plug. We'll see how that works and report back. They do look good on the wall and it's nice not to have to constantly change batteries.

Up-Set

I was glad to receive this awesome wall click, but then all that excitement went out the window. I couldn't find the little button to set the time, it wasn't there at all... I got a friend to look at it too and He couldn't find the button to set the time. :( :( :(

Arrived quickly and in good condition. Works fine. I bought it to put in my shop and it is perfect with it's large size and numbers. Reminds me of my school days as it is just like the ones we had in school. The ticking sound may bother me in a quiet room in the house but for the shop it's ok.
