Fountain Pump

It's a replacement of my old pump for my fountion ! I would recommend this pump but not all pumps are the same , make sure you pick the right recommended pump for you fountion or water features !

Works Great for Fountains

We have tons of birds in our yard and they love ❤️ running water ????. The previous pump lasted over 10 years, so hopefully this one lasts as long.

LOUD! - Expected Better from Tetra

Tetra is a good brand. I bought this pump from them confidently. I was mistaken. I bought this pump to replace the burned out pump in my daughter's Marineland Portrait-5 small aquarium. On the plus side, it did fit into the small space available in the small aquarium. The suction cups stick well. Well enough that they pull out of the pump with almost no force at all. That means that every time we wanted to move or adjust the pump the pump would come out leaving the suction cups behind and we would have to dig them off of the aquarium floor with our hands. The biggest complaint is that the pump is LOUD. Not a loud pumping sound, but a loud rattle. Like a 1994 Pontiac with a broken door panel type of rattle. I will be replacing this pump almost immediately because of the noise. A lesser complaint is that it is too strong. Too strong? Yes, that is an odd complaint. But in a small 5-gallon aquarium the amount of water this filter moves causes a strong current in the aquarium and the little fish are constantly swimming for their lives. Even on the lowest filter setting.

Doesn’t last. This is the second one. The warranty replacements never come.

Ordered in November 2020 to quickly replace one that has burned out and was being warrantied by the company. I was to order one to get it here in one day, then the company would take the 4 weeks to send the new one for the warranty and I would keep it for a backup. Well they never sent the warrantied one. Now this one has quit working 7 months later. It was well maintained. There is no point in trying to warranty another. Now my fish do not have a pump until the new one arrives. Going with a different brand as I don’t trust this company since they failed to follow through and now another has broken.

Quality item.

This is a nice pump. It works well. It is important to know that you will need a filter if you are going to use it in an outdoor pond. I used it as a replacement for our old one. I attached the filter from the old one to it. Works well.

Tough little pump

We use it in our fountain. They are fairly durable. We use a couple per year. We are near the ocean so there is a lot of salt in the air. I have to change the water at least twice per week. We keep a heater in the fountain so it runs year round. Update: The newer ones don’t last as long as the older ones. I only got a few months out of my last one.
