Held my heating system together!

This stuff is so great it's almost magical - BUT the key is to stretch it before wrapping (the way you'd stretch a balloon a few times before blowing it up) & then keep it stretched very taut as you wrap. Also overlap each pass by about 40-50% - don't skimp! I think the folks who gave poor reviews probably didn't stretch it tight enough as they were putting it on - you want it to be about double in length (stretched vs unstretched). It can be tricky if you're working in a tight space or with something that is hard to really pull against like a garden hose. But this stuff, along with Aquamend marine epoxy (hands-down best epoxy, especially for anything wet or high-temp, I buy on Amazon) literally held my steam heat system together for 3-4 years before & during covid. We'd put off replacing 2 heat pipes that were rotting out from being pitched improperly - they kept developing holes that ranged from 2-8 mm (not just "pinholes") & I kept patching them with aquamend plus this magic tape over the epoxy. Finally got the pipes replaced but will always keep some of this stuff around!

does not work on leaking water hole on garden hose or aluminum spray handle

I was under the impression that my long aluminum handle on a garden with a small hole will seal but it did not work I also had a smooth heavy duty rubber expensive garden hose with a small pin point leak and it did not work May be I ordered a wrong product

Water Hose Fuse Tape

Used to repair cracks a lifetime water hose. The tape was easy to use and I purchased multiple rolls to repair any additional water hoses with cracks. I would purchase this item again.

Did not reliably fix a pin hole leak in a garden hose. I tried twice. 1. The first attempt I wrapped with 2 layers using medium wrap tension over a 5 inch length, using about half a role. After a 30 minute set time, I turned on the water and it leaked immediately. 2. I cut off the first attempt and repeated the process using heavy wrap tension using the remainder of the role. This worked for about 5 days. I keep my hose pressurized all the time. After 5 days a large bulge developed in the silicon wrap that began to leak. Additionally, due to the high wrap tension the ends of the patch were beginning to tear. In summary, I would not use this as a reliable fix for garden hoses. Perhaps this product would work better for pressure applications with more wraps, but I did not continue the experiment.

This ish is the ish!!

Used it for a wire tuck on my Harley tank lift. This stuff is amazing!!!! What a game changer compared to electrical tape. It doesn’t stick to anything but itself so it makes wrapping wires it tight places so much easier!

mind blowingly GREAT product WOW!

This product is Amazing. I have a favorite garden hose spray wand. This year a pin hole break in the metal shaft was joined by 4 other identical holes but they all spray mostly on me. i ordered this tape for a fabric hose that I am going to replace. It has too many week spots to reasonably repair. But on the metal!!! This product went on a wet metal shaft and clung to itself, more like fused to itself. And i will have, I hope, years more use of it. I love this. I have a plumbing lead to repair and I am looking forward to using this tape there as well. THANKS!

Great stuff

This performs well and leaves no residue. Its amazing how it bonds so well to itself when stretched and pressed without being sticky whatsoever.
