Would rather slam in these than nothing

They fit cimfortably, don't sacrifice any mobility, and they definitely help with slamming on ur hips/butt. They won't completely save u from gnarly slams but better than nothing. They can be a little warm to wear if its really hot out but to be expected wearing another layer of something under your pants.

Great protection for wearing under pants/shorts

I’ve ridden skateboards, roller skates, electric skateboards, snowboards, etc. all my life. As I’m now in my 30s the falls hurt a lot more than they used to. And generally when I fall hard my hip consistently is an impact point. These protect your hip bones and your tailbone well. Compared to some others these can be comfortably worn under your pants/shorts.

Super helpful for staying confident during training sessions. Not perfect, but pretty good

I've used these for ice skating and park skating. Great for helping me feel safe really pushing myself during training and making riskier moves. While park skating, these have definitely been extremely helpful for cushioning falls but due to the more dramatic falls their impact is reduced. I've noticed that they lack sufficient protection in a couple spots around my hips, which is really unfortunate because they're great in other areas and I kept falling in the same place on my hips :( Overall pretty good, but if you have a more feminine body shape around your waist and hips, I would definitely recommend getting the Triple Eight RD Bumsavers. They fit a female waist SIGNIFICANTLY better, though they're much shorter so lack outer thigh protection that this model provides.

Great pants but somewhat poor finish

Package: - As the package arrived, shorts looked like nicely packed in a mesh bag with top mesh-bag tag, however, the shorts itself did not have any tags(?). I assumed, those have been tried before, this is the most likely reason. Overall pants looked like they were probably tried a few times. Fit: - I tried on the shorts, not really using them, just put them on to wear them for a few minutes and try with different kind of pants/shorts. They look and fit great under different shorts, including jeans. Totally must have product. Not making you look too bulky, but still giving all the padding you need. Quality & Freshness of product: - Right after first try I got multiple zits on my legs. Surely, I assume, those padded shorts were probably tried multiple times and for whatever reason people decided to return them. As I like the pants and they seemed OK, I decided to wash those, I just wanted to start using them. Of course cold water and a bit of delicate soap. However... - Before washing them I had to remove the padding from the inside pockets. As I was removing the padding it seemed as if somebody was already toying with it, pads had multiple lousy scratches and just seemed a tiny bit worn. Either way, I decided to disregard it, I like the pants, let me wash them, those pants will be beaten up anyways. - As I started washing the pants, unfortunately, I noticed the seams in the crouch to come apart (not because of washing, those holes were already there!), there was one finger size hole through and two other places of approx. 1 inch were seam also was falling apart. Looking in more detail it rather seemed like a fabrication issue, unless somebody was just hammering them on-themselves - Either way, because I've already put the pants into water and I like the pants so much and wanted to wear them next day, I decided to fix them on my own and disregard all the issues I noticed. Disappointed, but believing in my skills I managed to put them together. Summary: - Overall this is a nice pair of padded shorts. However, for a used(!) product $80 is definitely terribly overpriced. Huge disappointment that I had to fix those including pads being slightly worn (scratched), but OK, rather somebody with long nails was not doing a good job to put them in. Either way, those pants will be well used, so I decided to disregard those issues and fix them; probably if I did not put them into water I would return them back and bought them from some other place. I hope they don't fall apart. - I would give those pants 5-star score, but because of all the issues, just generally looking like slightly worn, I give 3-starts and overall their quality - except the holes - earns them 3-starts. Overall rating: great shorts so far. Message to seller: Before sending, please check the pants if this is a quality product or if you sell a used product please provide a discount. $80 for looking used shorts seems a bit too much. Because of this experience I do not think I will TRY BEFORE BUY again; doesn't seem worth the effort.

Great for skiing or snowboarding in park’

My son skis park and wears these for falls on rails and boxes and he thinks they work great! Comfortable for aggressive skiers - he does flips and crazy things and these allow him to move, yet protect him at same time.

Good quality

I’m 6ft 1in. Athletic build.. a runners body. The L fits perfectly and the padding isn’t too thick. Coverage in all the right places will definitely give some confidence at the skatepark.

Good protection for rink roller skating

I want all tte protection i can get. Don't want to get badly hurt - have to work for a living, y'a know? These shorts have the right amount of protection in the right spots - tail bone, hips.. Worn under my street clothes, over an underwear, these work well. Haven't washed these yet. Will likely hand wash. Good value.

Already saved my butt

I went for a large and glad i did even though i was sort of in between sizes... took a good slam skateboarding the first time i wore them and could feel the cush cush of the pads when i landed on my 63 y/o derrière; a 12 year old was teaching me to drop in... before i bought them... pain is the great motivator.. lesson learned there.. but i'm glad i wear them now; for me; defiantly of good value.. i bought another cheap pair I ended up giving away... way more uncomfortable than these... i forget i am wearing the triple eights.. i recommend them even if they are pricey... the comfort and functionality is worth it.. the pads do look bigger in the photos on Amazon... but they work... that's what matters to me..

Very effective padded shorts.

Very effective padded shorts. Fit nicely under baggy jeans. Dont slip, and the pads are positioned nicely to reduce the sting on impact. The tail bone pad extends nice and low to fully cover, rather than some others that are cut a bit short.

DON'T BUY THIS. Most review i think is false. This short are really bad protection. Foam is to soft. Not protecting at all. And when you seating, the back protection pressed and become very thin, don't come back again. I'll skip this shorts and I'll buy Demon impact shorts.
