Ads a second layer of protection to your door.

Since we live in a rented home and did not want to do any high modifications to our door, this gives an extra layer of safety for "kick-ins".. even with an alarm system, in a 3 story townhome it will give me plenty of time to be fully awake to "respond" to any threats to my home and family.

Security Door Bar

It works well but you got to make sure you angle the security bar right are you can still push the door open. It would be hard but you can push it open. Great tool! I use it every day-and-night. When I go out of town I would use it at the hotel room door. I feel a lot safer with the security bar tool on the door! Easy to use!

Works as expected

If you angle this thing right, space about 12 to 18 inches from door, and let the bottom part rubber rest a little to left of the door knob since a door also opens at an angle just a tad, this thing does not slip or move when trying to open door. I did small test on it and I heard the frame and door start to crack/ break due to the pressure, so it's definitely strong. I have vinyl flooring in my apartment, almost like plastic floor and the bar does NOT slide around on it.

Great Product, make sure you measure door though

If you’re going to use it for a sliding glass door, just make sure that you measure how wide your door is. Our door happened to be a little bit wider than it is capable of. It still works great for at hotels to brace the door where you want extra door security.

Seems Sturdy

This thing is very hefty and seems like it’ll do it’s job. My door was kind of small so I had to do it on the shortest hole and had to swap how I put it in there. I just hope it’ll still work that way. The pictures in the ad showed it with the square part away from the door.

Locked myself out front door ,Sabre was on back door

Being an idiot I pulled up front door... had the key on me but had left other key in lock inside so it wouldn't open. Had spare back door key but Sabre was in place. ( Purchased because next door had been burgled by their back door) Trying to get the UVPC door open would have been virtually impossible unless I had a key to open lock. Sabre used my energy pushing the door against me but I did over come it by distorting door at the bottom (not recommended ) and hitting a stiff rod under door against the base of the Sabre. It took time, was difficult and any burglars would have had a locked door. A bit of advice.... It not only makes it difficult for burglars it keeps you out too. So have a plan B .

Good security door bars

I bought 2 security bars for my home. It is simple and easy to install. Simply adjust the height of the bar and place the top of the bar underneath the door knob while securing the bottom of the bar on the ground. It is that easy! I feel safe and secure knowing my rear doors are reinforced and secure. Peace of mind. Great price and value. You can't put a price on safety and security. Good buy.

Not fit for purpose

Had to return, the bolt that came with it was too small to fit into the slots. I can't believe it was not tested by the manufacturer before selling to retailer... Looks like the drill bit the manufacturer used for the rungs was smaller than the bolt. Not fit for purpose.

So Far So Good

I have been using this security bar for my sliding doors to my balcony for a couple weeks and so far so good! It is pretty heavy duty and easily adjusts to fit. It feels more secure than my previous bar.

I travel for work and sometimes end up in not great hotels. ( A maintenance man entered my room at 2am) This safety bar is a little heavier than I expected BUT I like that - I feel very safe. It extends to any height of doorknob so far. Very easy to use. Highly recommended
