Great Idea, Pieces aren't so easy to snap

I bought this for my 5 year to learn how to read. While I love the idea, it's quiet hard to snap the links. My adult fingers hurt after a few minutes. The ages of the snaps are sharper than I would have hoped for. Would have loved something more pleasant to touch for my toddler's little gently hands.

I have been using this 'game' with my 2nd grader ...

I have been using this 'game' with my 2nd grader to give him a tactile experience to help him with his spelling. He likes to use the reading rods to create words. When I quiz him on the words I ask him to visualize the colors of the blocks sometimes or how many blocks it took to spell a certain word. It seems to be helping....a least a little bit.

BUILDING MEETS SPELLING. ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT FROM LEARNING RESOURCES!!!

Great product! My son loves to build things with legos and blocks, so this is a great hands on activity for learning. The reading rods fit snugly together so they are very sturdy. It works well for multiple ages with varying difficulty. I will be using this while home schooling my children. Excited to use it more.

Really great resource for teachers. Easy to play and set up. You don't have to use it as a game but rather a teaching tool. The rods are an excellent resource to add to any phonics/making words collection.

Great game

Great game, my kids (aged 8-11) all like playing it. They have so much fun I don't think they even realise they are learning at the same time. The pieces are sturdy and the box is sectioned to store them in their correct groups. Suitable from about age 7 up to adult.

I don’t understand why some pieces have a . And others don’t but overall it’s a great game and my kid likes to just play it himself with no timer just to see how many combinations he can make

Spelling game

Played this game and the children love playing this trying to find as many words possible in the time limit, if you are working with children who find it difficult take away the timer to give them more time.

Great item at a great price

Great quality, great price, great resource for teaching kids. My 4 year old is learning to read with these. Its like the reading rods but a third of the price the only thing missing are the cards but you can print similar ones online.
