Finally I found it somewhere

I dont know why but I was unable to find this at my local marine store. Glad I was able to find it online. I needed a trim tab anode that was both set back (for prop clearance) and full length (for added stability) and this item fit the bill! I tried using a flat anode but had too much torque steer, I tried using a set back trim anode but it didnt have enough material to combat the torque steer. This product was the answer, both set back and full size. Installed on my Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive. It came with the bolt with thread locker already on it. Only problem is that it only comes in aluminum so I had to swap out the rest of my anodes from zinc to aluminum.

Quicksilver for the win once again.

Excellent purchase! Looks better quality than OEM. This was fitted to a 1998 Mercury V6 150 and only modification I had to do was grind off a little material for clearance of my rear bolt through my housing which is mainly due to the reason that I run a lower unit extension plate because I swap out prop and jet pump from summer to winter times. Same day shipping was available and would buy again.

Easy to install and if you have a slow speed wander on your runabout, this helps a lot!

We have a 2050 Sea Ray bow rider that really likes to wander at slow speeds. Irritating when in channels with lots of boats or at multiple launch ramps. We went from a 3 blade to a 4 blade and that helped along with this skeg. The original trim tab was flat, no fin, so this helped. We haven't tried off setting it yet, it seems to me on our other boats they were always offset instead of straight out the back. Time will tell as I fool around with it.

Had a flat anode and switched to this to improve slow speed prop walk.

My sterndrive bowrider has the absolute worst slowspeed prop walk. Its a struggle to point straight in a no wake zone. This season, I went after the problem... I replaced the 21 pitch SS 3 blade prop with an alum 21 ptch 4 blade prop and put this finned anode on the sterndrive in place of the stock flat one. PROBLEM SOLVED! It was a combination of replacing both the anode and the prop that addressed the issue to a satisfactory level. The 4 blade prop required this offset fin anode. All sterndrives walk at no wake speeds, but now its manageable.

Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Had purchased a new prop, that, while it was the listed size for my boat, it hit the old trim tab. In further reading the directions, there was a note on mercury outboards, that if the prop hit the trim tab, buy this one. I did, it worked, what more can be said about an anode? Fit my '83 Merc 80hp. Likely fits several other years as well
