Cheap Lights Good Quality

I replaced the bulbs with Daylight LED bulbs. LEDs draw less current and do not get hot.

This can light is great!

I'm using therapeutic lighting for migraine and decided to use the set up for my cat who is pre diabetic and is having some issues. This little tripod set up works well. I used duct tape to hold it on the tripod, jerry style but it's working. This product is as advertised, works well, and arrived well packaged and in perfect condition, no noticeable flaws or scratches. It's a very nice, well made lamp in my opinion. Although, I do not do stage lighting or work, it feels well made and looks nice. The main things is that I have set up this therapeutic system to use and I'm excited to have this fixture. The light bulb included works as well. I put it in with the stored lights, I'm not using it. I ordered a 25 watt bulb and a 40 watt bulb for my purpose. This is perfect and a competitive price including shipping. 5 Stars

Cheap for reason

Get ready, these are cheapo. The gel frame is riveted together thus makes impossible to fit gel. Frame is also smaller than a PAR 38 standard. There is no fourth latch to hold frame, just two tension springs. The binding knobs are 1/4-20's and hard to grip. The binders do not lock the housing, I threw away all the washers. Gel frame also leaked light. Arrgh. The mount hole is 3/8's wow! I only bought these because the nice par 38 cans have not been available. The only reason I did not give one star is because you can modify and make them work. I will be left wanting the real par cans.

Simple, bright, and light!

I purchased these as a dimmable stage light for a band. They’re great. Very inexpensive, sturdy enough to hold up on the road. Easy to replace the bulb. Reasonable length on the power cord. No complaints!

Heats up very fast

light heats up very fast and does not much a hook or clip to hang anywhere. Had to run to homedepot to get the mounting hook. there is not switch but turns on as soon as you plug in so switch is missing in the light and have to always plug -unplug to turn it on-off.

It's all about the bulb.

This is meant to be a very inexpensive option to light whatever you want, and it is. Here is what you need to know. The bulb is terrible and has ridges that cast bright and dull light over you intended target. Swap this with a well rated LED at the correct color temperature you need (I used 2700K). Next the power cord is short, maybe 4', you will need an extension cord for anything you are doing. Lastly it does not have an on and off switch nor is it DMX controlable, if you are mounting this permanently, be sure you have a good way to turn it on and off as needed. Overall we got what we paid for and made the small upgrades to make this the little workhorse we need it to be.

Great Little Fixture! Love them!

I purchased several of these recently and just ordered more, excellent fixture! I am a lighting designer and light for an off Broadway theater company with demanding needs when it comes to the stage. I would pay any price for a good fixture and didn't know what to expect from these, I thought they would be flimsy and cheap, anything but. The finish is excellent, a durable enamel, better than most high priced fixtures I have purchased. The cord is heavy duty, the steel housing is solid, they also accept gels, I was really pleasantly surprised. The lamp they provide isn't very useful, it has to be swapped out for a proper Par lamp, but who cares. I don't have anything negative to say, really, as I said I spent 5 times more for Pars and they are not made as well. Will not accept barn doors easily, but I am using black out tape and screens, which works fine.

Petite lampe très compacte de fabrication solide! J'ai remplacé mon éclairage gigantesque (PAR 64 et PAR 56) par des petites lampes comme celle-ci. Le seul point négatif, c'est l'ampoule fournie avec la lampe... il y a un gros "blindspot" en plein milieu du faisceau, donc je remplace par des ampoules au LED moins énergivore et plus durable. Ma suggestion; ne fournissez plus d'ampoules et baisser le prix de la lampe...
