Nice hose for a small shop

Im in a small shop and was doing ok with shop vac hoses but this hose is much more flexible and makes it easier to get to from machine to machine… it doesn't scrap or get stuck on the benchs like the stiffer shop vac hoses..

Good hose - But make sure you have enough suction power

4 Stars because it's what I expected and not the hoses fault that my 9 gal Craftsman vac with a new filter is too weak. I would have given 5 starts, but the hose is still a few inches to an entire foot short of the advertised length. I stretched it out and it was close, but it shouldn't need to be pulled that far to reach the advertised length. But I'm still satisfied. I have triple checked each connection and all are secure with no air escaping. The hose material is good bendable quality with the wire inside. I was able to cut the hose with scissors and the wire with a snip. Using adapters, I connected it to my 12" Hitachi miter saw and ran about 8' hose down to my vac where I have a Y adapter attached. Behind the saw I mounted a Powertec Big Gulp dust funnel\hood and it too is good quality. The Big Gulp is mounted just behind and below the saw to catch dust as it falls. I built side walls, a back wall and a top to keep dust from spreading out. Incidentally, the top serves very well as a shelf for frequently used pencils and other items I need in close reach at the saw. All works well, but the suction is not enough. Perhaps a smaller diameter hose would help, but I wanted to see inside the hose. Which is why I was able to notice the small handful of saw dust that had gathered in the longer portion of the hose that extends down from the saw. It was drooping down about 3" below the intake of the Y adapter and didn't have enough suction to pull the dust in. But I adjusted the hose to go down with no drooping and that fixed the issue. Proper suction would be better. If I add other devices even with blast gates, I suspect additional power loss. I can't imagine what type of power a 4" hose would require. Changes I'll make: Eventually I'll invest in a proper dust collector with more power. Get a smaller diameter hose (see through won't matter to me now that I know what I need to avoid with the hose placement.) I'll test PVC with spare tubes I have laying around and let you know, but my guess is that I may need better power here as well.

Good Quality Hose

Good quality flexible hose. The only issue I have is that it's almost too high of quality. The density of plastic and tight elasticity make the hose fairly heavy and it can pull back on your tools while in use. I had to reroute my existing vacuum lines to decrease tension on this hose to keep from fighting it during a cut. I'm certainly not downgrading it for being better than most of the junk out there, but wanted people to know that this is a heavier duty hose. It worked will with my Makita track saw and I was able to avoid the typical dusty mess in my shop. Given my positive experience with this product, I may be looking into some 4 inch lines from this company in the near future to replace my existing, aging system.

great dust collection tip

Very good hose. It comes in a 3"x3" x3' box. It's like a slinky and stretches so it is not good for a vacuum hose extension but good for connection to power tools for dust collection. This has a "left hand" spiral so for clamps get the Big Horn 11752PK 2-1/2-Inch LEFT Hand Bridge Clamps and not their RIGHT hand clamps. Left is not for left end and right is not for right end -- if the hose has a left hand spiral both ends use left hand clamps. It fits over 2" PVC pipe so is great for a DIY dust collection with a dust collector and shop vac. Maybe this isn't the best forum but I used 3" PVC for my main dust collection run, reduced to 2" PVC with a Charlotte Pipe 3"x3"x2" Pvc Wye, installed Woodstock D4224 2-1/2-Inch Blast Gate, then ran this hose to each of my power tools. Get your PVC pipe and wyes from the big orange or blue box store.

Great hose for the price!

I am definitley satisfied! Very strong yet flexible. Works very well with 2 1/2 power tech dust collection system!

Good flex

They werer hard to get over the connectors, I ended up heating them and useing a little liquid soap to get them on, they do need adapters for a mitre saw tho, time will tell how my homade connector will hold up on it.

High quality

I used sections of this hose in conjunction with the PowerTec kit and vacuum hoses to connect my table saw, chop saw and planer to a dust collector. Works well. Plastic is thick and appears to be durable.

Not for a primary shop vac hose

There is nothing wrong with this hose, but it is very soft and flexible. If you use it for a primary shop vac hose, it will pull your vac across the room as it compresses. Used as a hose from a stationary tool to a dust collector, it would probably be fine. As others have mentioned, note the thread direction if you want to use threaded connections.

Good but not 10'

Fits over 2" ABS pipe perfectly. Does not stretch to exactly 10 feet, more like 9'. 5 star if I actually had gotten 10'. Apart from that, nicely flexible versus stiffness. Smells like pool accessories out of the box, haha.

Perfect for dust collection for my small garage workshop

Perfect for dust collection for my small garage workshop. I hooked this up to a cyclone dust collector (similar to Oneida) but mine was cheaper as I bought it off ebay. This flexible pipe works well for my setup. Excellent quality.
