Works on black algae

I had been struggling with black algae over the last five months. In the past i handled black algae by rubbing chlorine tabs on the spots, but this last summer was very warm and the black algae started to spread continuously. In the past it had been in grout lines and occasionally in my pebble tech. Then it started forming in my pebble tech and spreading slowly. I tried rubbing chlorine tabs on it, then purchased algaecide from Leslies, and Algatec from Amazon. I was wire brushing the algae several times a week along with the Algaecide treatments. The black algae was literally unaffected and got worse. I closely monitor my pH and chlorine levels, been doing it for 15 years, and was at my wits end. When you research they all say their product works, but I am very skeptical with my $$. After about two weeks, and only a little wire scrubbing, my black algae was gone! I'd buy it again, nuff said!

Love this product

I love this product found it not soon. Enough at the end of the season. Can’t wait to try it out. I didn’t even have to use any more chemicals after we added this. I can’t wait to see how it works next year.

This product is literally heaven sent … I’ve been having trouble keeping my pool algae free for over 4 years it’s been a nightmare ! finally just as explained drop it in and clear pool even after the rainy days it’s clear!!! Best thing ever

Fantastic

I live in the woods and have always struggled with algae, including the dreaded mustard variety. Used this cartridge for the first time this year and it has worked as advertised, keeping my water crystal clear and algae free. It's important to run the pump consistently to keep the process working. The only other sanitizing is from two chlorine floaters with 3" pucks in them. Chlorine consumption is down by 80% between pucks and shock. Couldn't be more pleased with this product.
