Solid and supportive.

My screened-in porch has a step down from the house. This short railing helps. Requires professional installation unless you are handy.

The bar at the bottom had no holes

Had to drill holes in the bottom piece -someone forgot to put holes in them !

It saves falling

Very well-made and attractive. Although it's easy to install and has everything in the kit, we had a contractor put it in. Powder coated, it should last a long time. Comfortable to hold on too. We have since purchased another one for the front door.

A not-so-solid "No Way"

This rail setup is terrible. The directions involved a "PS for reference only" and were page 1 of 4, 2 of 4, and a duplicated 3 of 4. No words on the assembly steps. I tried several configurations, I could not get it to fit my step without looking like I'd screwed up and installed parts backwards. The welds were ugly and messy, and the nuts and bolts construction looked really bad. The top rail is a pretty solid piece of metal, the rest is very thin and flimsy feeling. The finish quality is poor, rubbing off on my fingers and with several thin spots and scuffs through out.

Don’t buy unless you are an experienced tradesman or handy person

Directions are a joke and lacking in key details. There is no indication of bit size needed for the concrete anchors so I bought 1/2 as closest size to the diameter I measured. Anchors were loose in 1/2” holes so had to pound nails in to shim tight before fastening the nuts and securing the rail assembly. The bottom bracket is supplied without holes so you have to figure out that it must be drilled out (instructions should have called this out). I eventually got it to work but it wasn’t an easy installation

This is the best thing I’ve bought

The railing was the easiest thing to put in my homeowners love it because it helps them with the new stuff that we put on the back of the deck as you get older it’s harder to go ahead and put your foot up 12 inches and trying to balance yourself to get up that step after I built a smaller step I put the railing up on the step and the main deck there’s lots of compliments and lots of thank youse if you don’t want to go through the process of putting one of these in don’t get it but for seniors and people who have problems with their hips their knees and their feet added security helps in a railing
