A GOOD INVENTION

Dear Reader, I hope this letter finds you in good health. Just wanted to tell you about the GrabEASY Multi-Purpose Grabber. Well, I reckon I first bought this here item somewheres around forty or fifty years ago when folks like us used to buy things in stores and Amazon was still nothing but a river. I recently had to replace it because one of the four prongs broke off from the claw. Can't say that I mind after all them years. Everything gets old. Everything breaks down. I reckon that you buy something like this for a specific occurrence after which you find that it's good for a host of other things as well. I'll be sheep-dipped ifin I can remember my original purpose for this here de-vice, but looking back over the past many years I can tell you that I've used it to pick up stuff from behind the couch, grab some utensils from underneath the ice box, open the car door after granny locked us out and left the keys in the ignition, used it as a snake when the toilet got clogged up. I'm sure that there must've been other events which I'm sorry but do not recollect at this exact moment in time. The length minus the handle is twenty and a half inches. I know that they tell you it's twenty-four inches long, but you can only use twenty and a half inches for grabbing. When lifting heavier objects you'll have to hold it with one hand and pull back on the handle with the other so as to prevent the grabber-claw from dropping whatever it is that you're trying to lift. They made this newer model more flexible than the one I had before. Seems like they're trying to turn it into more of a plumbing snake than anything else. I don't know now ifin I like it or not the way they have it. I reckon time will tell. I can't understand why they would need to be fussing with something already good. Not for shower drains.

This product doesn’t actually pick anything up. I was hoping it would help clear hair from the shower drain but it didn’t work at all.

My parents always kept one of these around when I was a kid and I wasn't entirely sure why. When one of the kids dropped a small toy in the toilet I figured out why. I ordered this after resolving that issue in a less-than-desirable way. It's well made and sturdy, but still flexible. It's easy to control. I've used it to retrieve a few things since then with various and it's pretty easy to clean as well. I'd say this is a worthwhile purchase... get one BEFORE you need it. Don't be me.

Not a bad product but you can buy it locally at your hardware store. This one is long enough to get things far down. I used it to fish a piece of plastic out of a riding lawn mower gas tank.

Waste of money, it didn't fit down any of my drains. The plastic jagged strip they sell at stores works 100% better. Don't waste your money, even if it seems cheap enough.

I Couldn't Get it To Work

Did not work for me. I used it in an attempt to grab hair down a tub drain. It wouldn't grab anything. I was reasonably certain that there was hair and other "gunk" stuck down the drain, so I would attribute the problem to the product. Also, it looked and felt "cheap". I don't bother with it anymore.
