Good quality stainless

I really like Norpro kitchenware. This pizza cutter is a good quality stainless with a ring for hanging.

Norpro 51 Stainless Steel Pizza Wheel did not role.

Norpro 51 Stainless Steel Pizza Wheel did not role. It looked like the better all stainless steel pizza wheels such as Rosle, All-Clad, Kuchenprofi, Oneida and WMF's. But functioning as well as it looked was something the Norpro 51 couldn't do. When ours arrived we put a piece of paper on a wood cutting board to test the sharpness of the blade. The wheel didn't role more than 12 inches until it locked up like someone had slammed on the brakes and seized the calipers. We all tried to move it but the wheel didn't budge. Ya defective, but It really seemed odd to me because the device is simply an axle and wheel. The wheel is a big one with a larger diameter that would have worked well at cutting not just pizza but also thicker sheet foods like brownies and quiche. And the blade was sharp, not razor sharp but definitely suitable for slicing pizza and other foods. Also I did try a magnet on it and the magnet didn't stick so the stainless is 18/10 or 18/8. So why didn't I give it a 2nd try if mine was just defective? The handle was uncomfortable and failed to give me a feeling of sturdy control. The two black lines are protruding plastic rings that dig into your fingers as you grasp the handle. Also the handle is round which makes it more difficult to keep from slipping as you press down and try to role the wheel. So, a locked up wheel (poor quality assurance) and an uncomfortable slippy handle earn the Norpro 51 Stainless Steel Pizza Wheel only 2 stars.
