The base of the lamp is quite small compared to the top of the lamp I had to put a protective cloth underneath the base to make it stable

Pretty lamp.

Nice sturdy construction. Made with good metals and glass. Only issue is that you need a platform on thicker carpet because its a tad top heavy for the base

Not what I’d hoped for, but ok.

This isn’t a very nice-looking lamp up close. Poorly made, as these lamps go, and the shade is very small. Since we got it to serve utilitarian purposes, it’s ok. It doesn’t have to be a showpiece, and it’s not awful, just not great as I’ve come to expect from certain manufacturers like Dale Tiffany, and others of that calibre. I question whether that floor switch will last as long as the lamp. I foresee replacing the cord and switch at some point in the future, unless the lamp falls apart before then. All in all, you get what you pay for, and this is not an expensive lamp for its type. If you want an inexpensive Tiffany style dragonfly lamp, this will do, but it’s not going to win any beauty contests. The dragonfly pattern is one of my favorites when well-done. Here, it’s just kind of... meh...

The glass shade is too heavy to extend out as far as it does. It tips over easily when on carpet.

Very attractive. My wife loves it. The engineering is wrong in that the weight of the shade allows for the lamp to fall over if bumped even slightly while the lamp is on carpet.

Lamp is top heavy when shade is angled towards bed and tips over

I wanted this lamp for beside my bed angled toward my pillows for reading. However when I got the lamp shade to stay in the position I wanted it keeps tipping over. I am disappointed in its instability. I love the look but it is not working well for me because of the tipping over. I have a rolled up magazine under the legs on the side the lamp is pointing towards but this is a most unsatisfactory arrangement
