A must-have item we use every day

We use this wash berries, vegetables, rice, and grain - several times every day. At first, I thought it was not needed because we already have a rice-washing bowl, but I soon realized this much better. The design is pretty good. You can load it up in a horizontal position, and even run water continuously into it while its slightly tilted down. Then at the end, you can stand it up vertically to drain the water. You can just leave there draining on its own. It is just made of plastic though - it seems like a average plastic not something special. Its slightly hard to clean the last few grains of rice or oats because they cling to the area around the holes, so you have to sorta wipe them down. We use the larger one, 90% of the time, and the smaller one is not used very much. In fact, I wish the larger one were a bit larger. I put about 2 cups of oatmeal with water to soak overnight and thats fine, but any more and it might spill easily whlle moving it. Overall its a useful item. If it broke I would buy a new one.

Excellent product

Those are great! Sturdy, good looking, perfect sizes, and there are nor sharp edges. I use the smal one for veggies, beans, etc. the large one is perfect for rinsing rice. 100% recommend it.

Great for soaking/straining rice

There is a small and large size strainer. I bought these to soak rice, then tip it and strain the water withouth having to dirty another bowl. Works as intended, and the rice didn't stick in the holes. I could also use it for soaking and straining fruit and produce. I ended up returning it only because it took up a lot of space in the cabinet, but that is no fault of the item.

Rice Strainer?

Easy to use, Purchased mainly to rinse rice grains for cooking, found that after rinsing and straining rice experienced difficulty removing rice from strainer. Spent more time than expected removing rice grains, does not dump easily.

Works Exactly as Advertised, But Stickers are a PAIN!

Would be 5 stars, except removing the stickers was a major pain and the fact that it was so annoying that it cost you a star should let you know how much of a pain it was. Ended up damaging the plastic surface removing them. It works very well. Easy to use. I use it for rice and for cleaning fruit. This is a must for washing rice and it's such an improvement over a normal colander that this is the only thing I will use from now.

If you ever struggled with rice, beans, lentils and other grains after a soak and tried to keep the water out without the rice going down the drain, then this is for you. Soak it, tilt it, even hang it by the handle and let it drip. No need to use a bowl and a colander. Just wash out the rice washer, hang it up to drip dry, couldn't be easier. Very pleased, and will recommend to friends!

Great for cleaning rice, fruits and veggies

Item works very well, has a few moulding/casting lines in the bowl portion that always look dirty, but that doesn’t bother me at all as you need to really look to see them. I’m very happy with this product, well worth the cost IMO, and the only real issue I have with it is that it’s hard to clean rice from after cleaning it, which is no fault of the strainer, but something to be expected with wet rice I suppose.

Absolutely worth it

What a convenient and useful product ! Easy to stack both sizes one inside the other. Works great for washing and soaking rice, pulses, vegatables. Perfect and simple solution to the problem i have been facing over the years!

Sticker Hard to Remove

Solid set but the stickers are HARD to remove! I’ve had it about a year now, even with frequent use there is still residue from the tag! (And I have tried food safe oils to remove, no luck.) Good product but you get what you pay for

Cool product

Looks like a bedpan, but works really well. I use the for rinsing rice, grains and legumes and the larger one for rinsing greens such as kale. The product allows for soaking of items in the flat position, then drains away the liquid when you stand it up in the sink. It is a simple but effective product. Excellent for home prep of fresh foods and grains.
