Excellent Face Wash

This product really cleans my face and prepares it for anti-aging and moisturizing product to be applied. It takes a lot of rinsing to rinse the product off the face and that is the only downside of the product. I totally recommend this product. It is excellent and I will buy again.

Just OK, but very overpriced

For this price, I’m disappointed with this face wash. It does have good ingredients (on paper anyway) and leaves your face feeling very clean…but it also smells like a stale closet. It is by far the worst smelling face wash I’ve ever used. Also it doesn’t lather as well as most face washes and seems to take a greater amount, so the bottle will be empty quickly. Also, the labeling RUBS OFF with soapy water (see photo) so it makes me seriously question the quality of this product and how much “science” is really involved. The bottle looks cheap and trashy now with the labeling messed up and I’m embarrassed to have this in my bathroom. The last issue is that there is no hygiene seals (the peel-off metal foil on the cap) on this product, which is also a quality problem. Even $7 face washes in supermarkets have this. I wanted to like this product, but honestly it feels like a $3 bargain bin product. I will never buy it again.

I was using a Gentle Face Wash for a few years which didn't really clean much at all so I've developed a good amount of blackheads in my t-zone, nose and upper cheeks. Though I ordered a new bottle I've been using whats left of an older bottle of the MenScience face wash. Since using it four or five times I have noticed that some of the pores with blackheads have cleared while others are more resistant.I am hopeful the more resistant blackheads will be cleaned out over time. Please note that the larger blackheads might leave behind some large open pores once removed if they have been clogged and stretched for a long time which is a bummer. Also, the wash is pretty drying and so you might want to use it every three days. If used more than that you may want to moisturize. I will try to update this review in a few months.

Not worth the price

This face wash is average at best, and definitely not worth its $25 dollar price tag. Although I believe it's supposed to be odorless, it has a slight but noticeable ammonium scent. One of its major ingredients is in fact ammonium laureth sulfate, one of the many sulfate varieties you'll find in your cheap (and some expensive) shampoos. Fun Fact: In larger and more concentrated solutions, sulfates are used to clean grease off engines. It lathers fairly poorly, and you'll need a good handful of it to get going, so it will get used up faster than a comparable cleanser. For what it is, it should be no more than $5 at a local pharmacy, right next to all the store-brand face washes. Speaking of local pharmacies, the easily found Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser is a superior alternative to this MenScience product, but not the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser which is incredibly diluted. If you're still shopping for a more expensive face wash, in that case I recommend Zirh Clean, which is about $20/8oz. It lathers very well, has a pleasant citrus scent, and leaves your skin feeling fantastic. my neck responds much better to shaving with a DE blade

My face is slightly sensitive, so I can't wash with this every day, but this has helped my problem with ingrown hairs on my neck after shaving. Since switching to this, my neck responds much better to shaving with a DE blade. It does dry out my face in certain spots if I use it every day, but I just rotate with another cleanser and wash my neck with this everyday. Works like a charm.

I don't know why this stuff is only marketed for men because its amazing. Takes off ALL of my make up, including eyeliner and mascara, without any harsh scrubbing, overpowering scents, or other unnecessary additions. I have very sensitive skin and this is the only face wash I have found that truly feels like its cleansing my face without stripping away all the moisture.

Best face wash for men, period

Anti-aging, anti-acne, my skin has seriously never looked better. I've suffered bad skin and acne my entire life and I've spent thousands of dollars over the years on other products that just made the problems worse. A friend recommended this brand to me and so I tried it. It took a few weeks to a month for me to notice a difference but WOW did it help. Also, it foams really nicely and is unscented, it also lasts a long time.

Happy enough

Been using this for a few years now and still like it. I like that it's not overly fussy without the typical fake nice smells you get in standard face washes. However, it is very pricey and this batch does not feel as strong as previous ones I have bought. Maybe lowered the Glycolic levels?

Best cleanser

Used this product for almost 20 years! I switched to another brand for a while few years ago, and I started having clogged pores. Switched back to menscience and skin been clear again ever since.
