Item was half filled ? What gives?

The items received was as if these were used before and replaced back in inventory to sell ... What a joke. Awful sight -even before you open you can see that the container is half filled ? What's up with that ?

Nice hair mask, with caveats

This is actually a set of 4 Dove hair masks; each jar is 4 ounces. I used this on my relatively short hair, which is part fine light brown and part wiry white (I just turned 60!). The mask is easy to use in the shower, and I like that it comes in a jar (rather than a bottle), as it is easy to dispense. It leaves my hair soft, and I can see that it would be great for someone with long hair that tangles easily. I was a bit confused when I received this product and when I read the description. It didn't seem like other Dove products I have recently tried. The label is in both French and English, and it does not have the PETA emblem that recent products have to indicate that it's cruelty free. Also, the description page has some serious typos and isn't written with the usual Dove advertising tone. And, it is linked in Amazon to "skin care" rather than "hair care." (NOTE: I see that the issues in the last 2 sentences are now fixed. Thank you!) The product also has no safety seal. So before trying it I wanted to investigate further to ensure that this is actually a Dove product. Yes, it is advertised in the Dove store, and I see that it is sold at at least one other major retailer. I can see on the jar that this is produced in Canada, so it is likely a different "division" of Dove. It does have a moderately strong scent. It seems that Dove is moving toward milder scents and fragrance-free, which I think is a GREAT move. I'm mild-moderately sensitive to scents, the fragrance is a bit too strong for me. It smells like the scent I had associated with Dove products in the past. I gave this 4 stars for effectiveness, but I do think Dove could reduce the fragrance, implement some kind of safety seal, and also seek the PETA cruelty-free certification for this product!

Best hair mask

I work out in the pool at my local gym 5 days a week and my hair has become so damaged. I have tried all kinds of mask with no luck. Well I am a true Dove user (I only use Dove products) and I used it for the first time today and all I can say is WOW!! My fine hair is so soft for the first time in months. I will be buying this from now on!

First time using a hair mask, very hydrating.

Dove Hair Mask + Minerals, Strengthening Hair Mask for Damaged Hair, 1 Count This is the first time I have tried a hair mask but I actually like this product quite a bit. It is very similar in texture to a thick conditioner. I applied it after washing my hair with shampoo and in that way, it feels similar to using a conditioner. When I do the mask it feels like I have a thick coat on even when not using all that much product. It does feel like it reaches my scalp and moisturizes that as well. I have to admit I love how my hair and scalp feel after using this. Pros- Moisturizes/hydrates extremely well. The scent is great, somewhat vanilla-smelling to me but very pleasant. It does have a bit of a strong scent but I like it. I think the price is fair given the results I had. One of these containers seems to last for a good bit too because this is not something I use daily. I like to use this 2x a week or so. Cons- I haven't found any cons at this point. Overall I really enjoy this product and it provided results after the first use. My hair is softer immediately after drying it when I do the mask. It does take about 5 minutes of letting it sit in your hair according to the instructions to get the best results. I cheat a little on the time and usually leave it in for 2-3 minutes and still get great results. It does a tad more for my hair than a really good conditioner but I like that it's not a product I need to use daily. I also like that it hydrates my scalp as well. I think it's certainly worth a try. I wish I had tried other hair masks for comparison but thus far I am a fan of this one.
