Nice mugs - take a lot of cabinet space though

I like these mugs just fine - they're large and feel good in the hand, but they're pretty clunky. I think I expected a glass mug to be more elegant and less like something that wouldn't break if I chucked it at an intruder. Also, I live in an apartment and they take up as much space as any 6 of my other mugs, so for those reasons I'm putting them away to pass along to my kid when he goes to college.

Durable Glass Mugs

We love these glass mugs! They’re comfortable to hold, and are perfect for drinking iced coffee or iced teas in. The mugs are sturdy and durable, and well use them daily for many years to come. Libbey makes beautiful glassware and these were no exception Easy 5 stars!

I LOVE Glass Mugs

These are perfect! I only drink my coffee and tea out of clear glass mugs. These mugs are beautiful, sturdy, nicely shaped, and the correct weight for your hand. They wash nicely, and dry well too. I am looking forward to years of enjoyment with these, from a brand I trust.

Not THAT tall...

I was looking to get some tall glass mugs to drink iced beverages, and the design of these caught my attention. I was first disappointed with how the package was shipped. It just arrived in the original packaging, and the mugs were not wrapped with any bubble wrap. So it's really a miracle that none were smashed or have any chips because the only thing protecting them were the cardboard divider inside. The mugs themselves are a bit heavier than I prefer and not that tall as expected. And although I wanted these for iced drinks, was extremely disappointed that it is not meant for hot beverages, so avoid buying if you were looking to get these mugs for that purpose. Overall I will probably use them on rare occasions for drinking iced tea, but ultimately disappointed with the misleading photos and description.

Avoid!

Edit: Took my metal files/rasps to the handle edges and they are now much more comfortable to hold. But they also now have a fuzzy line on the inside and outside of the handle. Original review: I just received these mugs and I am very disappointed. I had high hopes for these mugs as I was looking for a new set of glasses to replace my ancient, bachelor days, mason jar style mugs but just completely let down. Comparing the two cups: roughly the same height (about 5"), wider at the mouth (3.5" vs 2.75"), both have handles, and holds a bit more (16oz vs closer to 14oz for the mason style). Style wise, these are more like large latte mugs than beer mugs but I can work with that and look good in my humble opinion. So why avoid the cups? Because the handles are outright sharp and unpleasant to hold. The casting seem runs along the inside and outside of the handle and is so prominent that I would either return these or skip them entirely had I handled them prior to purchase. So all in all, cups that could be nice but are just unpleasant to hold. There is really zero reason to buy these. (I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 as they do look nice otherwise and maybe Libbey will read this and fix their cup mold.)
