DID NOT COME WITH WHAT IS ADVERTISED

I like this pot and it looks like stone. I bought the tall one and the 30 cube size for my front porch. The tall one came with the substrate and the water indicator but the small one did not. I exchanged the small one with amazon and received another 30 cube size 2 days later. Again NO water indicator or substrate. I am so annoyed. For the price, it absolutely should come with the water indicator at least. Substrate you can get at the closest garden center. I was fed up with exchanging, I just bought my own substrate and will just make sure I water often. Bummer!!!

Great Planter

Really like this planter. It's already kept my Meyer Lemon watered through a vacation that included several 90 degree days. The planter consists of two parts, the inner part is the actual planter, and the outer part is basically a decorative box that holds the planter. At first it is a little intimidating to put together, but the directions are clear and it is easier than it first seems. There's a false bottom that separates the soil from the water reservoir and a corner tube that holds a "bobbin" that shows the water level. This package includes just enough pon (a light gravel-like substance) to cover the bottom. You have to provide your own potting mix.There's a removable drain plug in each part--you remove it if the pot's going to be outside so that excess rain water can drain off.

good design

ordered both the 30 cube and the 30 tall Lechuza planters in both Stone Grey and Black. Liked the design of both but didn't care for the Stone Grey color which does NOT match the photo online. Wishing the 30 cube Black was in stock!!!!!!

No bottom. Product defect?

I have always been a fan of Lechuza and have a few of their pots. My bad i ordered this in March and just opened it... the main pot does not have the bottom but some fake paper circle. i would like to return it

Works good

I have purchased other products from them. This one works well. No issues yet. I needed something for my venus fly traps. They seem very happy with this as they get all the distilled water they need. The color is nice and modern.

Would like to try the system but did not receive all of the parts.

This looks like a good system but the self-watering tube and indicator, along with the pon, were not included with my planter. I did receive the outer cube, the interior drainage stand and the interior cube - no self-watering tube, water level indicator or pon. There doesn't seem to be an option to request the missing pieces or contact someone for help. It appears the only option is to return the item and it doesn't look like any others are available.

Great for hydroponic plants!

I bought this for my Sarracenia. It's a hydroponic plant which means it normally sits in a tray of water all the time. I had doubts over whether the pot would work for this type of plant but its perfect! I need to keep the little red marker above maximum at all times but it works great! I used 4 strands of cotton 'wick' instead of the supplied stick to allow the plant to 'suck up' more water. The only negative (and why I've docked a star)... I found it extremely difficult to find a pot that fits well inside the inner Lechuza pot. They were either too small or stuck up from the top... Having spent way more than the Lechuza cost trying different pots in the hope to get one to fit, I was gifted one by my neighbour. If Lechuza supplied the inner pots, or sold them, I would have these planters everywhere!!

Happy with this

I love the colour of it - I did get a little (well quite a lot) frustrated whilst trying to assemble the thing. I had to wait while for delivery but would buy one again. I use it for my olive tree since the last pot broke - I wish they did them in a slightly bigger square size (the tall ones are only a small box in a big frame as I understand it). The float showing the water level appears to be working nicely and the olive tree appears to be thriving (despite the butchery I had to do to make it fit the smlightly smaller pot). I knocked one star off for the fiddly assembly and one star for the length of time I had to wait (I'll be getting another but will order well in advance of my new trees arrival). I would recommend.

Well made and ideal for keeping plants happy

I have several of these, and use them for both indoor and outdoor plants. They may seem a little expensive, but they're worth it. It really helps to let you know when your plants need support, and you can also periodically feed them during the growing phase using this too. And, of course, letting the plant develop by using the drinking roots and not flooding from the top. Well worth it, my plants are very happy.

Buyer be aware this planter pot does not work like the other Lechuza pots!!!!!

Very disappointed, this planter is not the same as the other Lechuza self watering pots. It’s a bit of a con, you can’t plant your actual plant in to it but just place the plant in its current pot in to the planter with an added string (supplied) which you have to stick into your own plant pot. Rubbish, not what I wanted at all as the plant I bought the pot for has to go up a pot size or two, I wanted to repot it into this planter. What a waste of money. LECHUZA you really should have stated in the description for this this pot that it is not like your other pots which I have 6 of and none of which work like this one ????

No more overwatering

If, like me, you are prone to overwater plants then this system is for you. Although the product is plastic it looks fine on my windowsill. I bought two for supermarket bought herb pots as I wanted fresh herbs during lockdown. I've never regretted buying them as there is a water gauge that tells you when you need to top up the water. A brilliant product.
