I wanted to love this crate

Love the look. Love the sturdy top with the access door . Love the multiple doors. My dog loves it. BUT! My 10 month old Corgi keeps putting her nose through the wire grid panel. Her nose becomes swollen and tender resting it on the wire. The other day she put her paw through the wire grid and again rested it on the wire. Very unsafe and the possibility she could get more of her leg through and twisted or broken. She just recently started these habits. It is too late for me to return via Amazon policy of a 30 day return. Its been about 45 days now. The company also will not accept a return as it was not purchased directly through their site. Safety concerns are not an exception for either. This size crate was recommended for a Corgi, that is why I bought it. I hope the manufacture corrects this issue because otherwise it is a wonderful crate. Make the grids a little smaller to be safer for all dogs and I would purchase it!

I did not find this steel crate easy to set up & it was too heavy for me to use.

I had problems even getting it set up plus it was too heavy for me as a senior to deal with. I thought I had researched size, weight, how it operated but sadly it didn't work for me. I have 8 lb, senior (almost 11) Shih Tzu that has used a baby play pen since he came home with us. He is very set in his ways. Doesn't need a crate but I am in process of downsizing (I am a senior too) & thought perhaps I could find something smaller than Rocky's baby play pen. I returned it. The reason for my 4 stars is I found the set up too complicated for me.

Not easy to set up

I bought this crate to use while traveling since it collapses and has wheels and a travel bag. I had a difficult time setting it up and ended up calling the company. The hinges at the top would not lock down. The response from a rep at the company was to use a screwdriver to force the hinge in place. glad I was home and had one handy! I am a strong person. It took a hammer and screwdriver. Glad I didn't break of the plastic. Collapsing it and getting it back in the bag is also a test in patience. I do like the appearance of it. I like that it is hard plastic for traveling instead of metal and the wheels are great. It will be easy to transport in our travels. The bed that is included is very nice. Possibly, I will get to be a pro setting it up but it was not easy the first time around.

Great choice for my special project!

The media could not be loaded. With a bit of engineering, some additional parts and mounting hardware and a few hours of labor, I was able to transform this crate into a very sturdy roadhouse for Mattie! A huge upgrade for her on the ride! (Additional safety measures were incorporated during the build, please do not try this at home!)

Dog hates it

My dog hates how it rattles and now refuses to go in. Drat. Doesn’t matter how much I like it if HE hates it. He has no issues with other crates. We were hoping this would be our traveling crate…

Not Safe

I really wanted to like this crate since it had a side opening and the door slides into the top to keep it open for my furry friend to sit in, the major issue is the plastic hooks that are supposed to keep it from buckling (where the wire gate folds to collapse) are extremely inadequate at keeping it up. My poor fur baby had it collapsed on him just from him bumping into the area that folds. The hooks are easily moved. Thank goodness he’s super fast and exited the crate before it completely fell on top of him. I regret even trying to use it when I questioned its sturdiness to myself. This one needs to go back to the drawing board and the manufacturer needs to figure out how to ensure those flimsy plastic hooks can be replaced with a metal clamp that will lock instead. I would not recommend this crate to anyone unless they don’t mind modifying it themselves to make it safer. I just don’t want to spend my money on something I would have to do that for it to be safe.

Unfortunately VERY disappointed

The crate is very heavy. The wheels help to move, but overall very bulky. The “garage door” came off track just pulling the crate out of the box. The hardware is hard to use when trying to open and shut all doors. Not an acceptable travel solution.
