Heavy duty tweezer tongs that miss on precision

Unlike most tweezer tongs out on the market, this one is made with 18/10 stainless steel for extra corrosion resistance. It is also thicker than most tweezers you can purchase. If you are looking to grab thick cuts of steaks off of a grill, this is the tweezer for you. If you are looking for precision, look elsewhere. The pair I bought came with slightly misaligned tips and due to how thick and stout these tweezers are, the amount of grip strength you need to close the tweezers would make delicate kitchen work difficult. Finally, the cardboard insert that these came in say made in Germany but there was also a red ink stamp next to it that said made in Germany. Based on the quality of the materials I can believe the made in Germany mark but based on the misalignment of the welding I can also believe that these could be made in China.

A Must Have, Once you figure out you need it

Just like my microplane, I didn't realize how often I needed something like this, with the ability to pick up large and tiny things. Ever see a piece of eggshell or an onion skin? Grab it out easily. It's also better than my wooden tongs for lifting things and flipping them in a pan, like potstickers. I know I'll go for this tool again and again, and it takes up no room.

High quality stainless steel

I like using this when sautéing/cooking smaller items instead of bulky tongs. Since it is 18/10 stainless, it was a bit stiff for my arthritic hands the first few times I used it but I think it will loosen up after use. I like it and I won’t give it back!

THESE TWEEZERS WERE NOT MADE IN GERMANY

I bought these tweezers because they were recommended in a cooking magazine. When I got them I was very disappointed. The base, where the arms attach together, were not welded and did not match up. Other reviews indicate that they break apart, often. They also took too much force to close. My old set of tweezers took 8oz to close. These took 2lb-8oz to close. That means that you crush the noodle, you pick up, and drop anything you try to hold for too long.

I've used this to flip proteins and veggies on cooktop and grill. It's sturdy enough for large pieces and delicate enough for small.

I first read about these in Bon Apetit magazine and ordered a pair. We cook a lot and these are an invaluable addition to our kitchen tools for sure! High quality and super versatile/functional.

Deceptively marked on the packaging with a rubber stamp "Made in China"

Looks like an original Kuchenprofi tweezer tong as the packaging seems legit. Also the word Kuchenprofi is stamped on the tweezer itself. However "Made in China" was stamped with a rubber stamp on the packaging(looks smudged too). It wasn't even printed on like the other words on the rest of the packaging. Quite deceptive, almost as if there was something to hide. In any case if anybody is wondering, definitely NOT made in Germany.
