NOT A METAL SCOOP

Starting off, I LOVE Fiskars items. While this is a great scoop, it had some issues. The first issue is the label is a giant super sticky sticker. I had to soak it over night and then use goo gone to get it off. The other issue I had with this item was that it was plastic. The material listed is Alloy Steel, which is what I expected since all of my other Fiskars tools are metal. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the description, it says it is plastic. Having bought their products before and seeing steel at the very top, I trusted that it was steel. This was misleading and even if I’d seen both materials listed in those two spots, the picture shown isn’t clear which material it really is. The plastic seems thick and sturdy but I paid more for this plastic scoop than my other Fiskars tools that are metal.

Does the job but annoying sticker!

Pretty straightforward product - does the job. The one complaint I have, which is majorly annoying, is that the entire handle has an ugly orange sticker wrapped around it that doesn't come off. It's one of those stickers that just tears when you try to peel it off. So annoying and really ugly!

So why the missing star?

This scoop is great. It's sturdy and does a great job. So why did I dock it one star? Because it has a sticker wrapped around the handle. Not an easy to remove, leaves no residue type of sticker. A dumb sticky sticker that is easier to leave on than remove.

Super handy!

This is a great help when potting plants! It holds a good amount of soil, rocks, etc and doesn’t spill any. Also, it’s easy to disperse the soil into pots without all of it coming out at once. Really happy i got this!

Very Nice!

I have used this soil scoop to repot several houseplants in everything from 3.5" pots on up to 6" pots. I really like it! It is easy to hold, easy to use, the high sides keep the potting soil confined to the scoop instead of falling over the side as with a traditional trowel/transplanter, and it is easy to tip over the side of the pot and kind of shake to add soil. Highly recommend it!

Good soil/compost scoop

This scoop works perfectly well for scooping soil or compost out of big bags. It's sturdy enough that a full scoop of wet soil doesn't strain it or anything and it feels solid to use. My only complaint is that the scoop is pretty deep and the way it's designed means that soil gets packed into the spaces near the handle. In order to clean it out properly, I have to spray my hose into the scoop to clean out the soil that gets packed in there. Minor annoyance, otherwise it's fine.

Does the job.

The scoop is not big like the description says. It does work though. It's a regular scoop that helps with potting plants. I can't say that I personally would use it outdoors but it's useful enough indoors for potting and re-potting. Good enough to have.

Good garden tool

Use routinely, great scoop. A little smaller than anticipated but that’s likely on me
