Used but still fun

Was a fun time - but struggled with one clue because the one I got was used despite buying it new! Someone had filled in some information on it, which we thought was part of the genuine puzzle. It wasn’t until the end, after we successfully solved the puzzle despite not being able to eliminate one of the suspects due to the broken clue, that we realized from the solution website that our clue had been written on incorrectly when we received it. Despite the clue issue, we still solved the puzzle. And in some ways, it’s like we had a puzzle in a puzzle with the misleading clue from the previous owner. So it gets 4 stars.

Family fun!

We have three of these and my family loves them! This one was pretty good. Not easily solved but not too hard. My teenagers and their friends really liked it. We have a white board that we use and we always start out on teams but end up solving them together. The websites links worked great. Lots of fun!

So much fun for murder mystery fans!

I’ve always loved murder mysteries. I watch 20/20 and all of the real crime shows. These games are so much fun. The evidence files look like something you’d get from a police station. I have loved every one of these games!

Fun activity

This is a fun game to play with family and friends. It isn't scary (at least to the average teenager or adult). We (incorrectly) found the criminal in about 2 hours. I'm not sure if I agree with their answer. Make sure you read the directions closely. It is only fun to play once, so you might want to give it away to a friend afterwards.

Excellent US version of the class leading iDventure game

This is the US version of the German iDventure deduction game. They make some of the best in the genre and we are lucky that a us publisher has licensed this and the Antarctica game from them. The rest of the releases from this US company cost considerably more and have less compelling experiences but this one and the Antarctica one are really good and a great value at this price. I certainly hope university games licenses the other iDventure games (there are two more) for the US market!!!

Lots of brainpower but loads of fun

Bought to use while all together over holidays since we like murder mysteries on TV. Challenging being the detective but we did solve it correctly after about 3 hours amongst 5 adults.

To easy and to expensive

For the price you pay for a one time only mystery game it isn’t worth the money. Don’t get me wrong it was fun for the 30 min it took us but then after that you can’t play it again.

Highly Recommend!!

This is so well constructed and I have been telling everyone I know to get this game. My friend and I bought this along with an escape room game and this definitely takes the cake. It provides you with paperwork to write on but it's not necessary and you can get away with using your own notebook. That way it can easily be passed on which I thought was great because it helps fund your next case file!! Which I most definitely will be purchasing! Great way to spend an evening critically thinking with friends and having fun doing it! Thanks so much to the creators! Keep it up!

Excellent game, interesting and challenging!

This crime-solving case was a at-home great date night idea! As people who love crime shows, my partner and I loved going through the evidence and solving the crime. I recommend this, and if you have a group of friends, you can each buy a different one and trade!

Deus Ex Machina solution. Again.

We are pretty sure that the injections calculations are wrong. It’s like they did not account for the 6 days off properly. We did, and everything lines up... and yet. And the culprit had no clear motive — no evidence pointing to the final solution. I guess that’s it for this company… it’s frustrating when huge jumps in logic happen. We solved everything without any hints, but the ending. Frustrating.

Missing vital information!!

We spent several hours and 40$, only to find out we were missing some of the papers we needed to actually solve the case. I am giving 2 stars because we had fun assuming it was one person but because we were missing the papers we realized we were completely wrong. Very frustrating and extremely disappointing. Wouldn’t consider it an actual murder mystery, I have done a couple other murder mystery files 10x better, would not recommend.
