Initially bought a less expensive cartridge

I've had my refrigerator for 10 years and never had a problem with the quality of the cartridges, even brand or off brand. I tried to save money this last time and purchased a Culligan cartridge off Amazon, thinking the well known brand would be a good choice and it was much less expensive. Big mistake. For the first time ever, I had black sediment at the bottom of water glasses, which were thankfully white so I could see there was a problem. I returned that cartridge and bought this one and my water was immediately clear again. Highly recommend these even though they are more expensive. While I love to save money, not at the expensive of bad water.

Works with my older model Kenmore fridge

Have an older model Kenmore fridge that I can no longer get the Kenmore brand water filters for, but this filter is compatible and works just as if it were the Kenmore brand.

Ready to ship?

We have used this filtering system for years-good product; problem was we received this one, from Amazon, given the impression that it had already been used and was reshipped. The original paper packaging, around the product, was completely torn up and the plastic packaging had easy access (what plastic packaging EVER has easy access?) All nicely placed in another plastic bag reading: “Ready to ship”
