Almost a fit for Pegasus

Had a similar problem to another reviewer- the valve seated well and works great, but the stem was slightly too large for the Pegasus handle. (Pegasus 1000 series F50BC200NP model 729070). Ended up very lightly and carefully grinding around the valve stem with my dremel tool and a cylindrical grinding stone bit until the handle fit. Fully assembled now and working well

Not the same, but works..

I have a Danze D153057 bathroom faucet.. The cold water started having a constant drip so I went to find a replacement center piece.. In the manual, it says that it uses, or the part number is A603143N for the cartridge.. I found that this DA507072W was close to an exact replacement to it (I guess they changed part numbers).. When I say "close to", I say it because.. While I could not find a reason it would not work by looking at it with my eyes, I found that when I went to put the handle back on, after I put the new one in, the splined area on top.. While it looks exactly the same, it seems that this new one is make a tiny bit bigger.. When I say a tiny bit, I am saying, like a hair from your head bit bigger.. Because of this, I had to tap the handle back on with a hammer (and something on top of the handle to protect it.. I used a thick piece of plastic) to get it to go back on.. When I say hammer, I am talking the smallest hammer I could find at home, which is a couple of ounces.. Nothing big.. But if I had to tap it on like that, then It will be giving me problems if I ever have to take it back off.. Since the handle is held on with a screw, there is no reason to make it this tight of a fitting. I noticed that the clip on the top, the old one and even the one in the picture both have copper or brass clips, the new one has a plastic clip holding it together too.. Overall, it does work.. It fits and fixed my problem.. But I had to take one star off because of the tiny bit bigger end where the splines are.

Good replacement part for Pegasus faucet

Bought to replace cartridge in a Pegasus faucet. Home Depot, where the faucet was purchased, does not carry replacement cartridges for these faucets. Pegasus is made by Danze, which has now been bought by Gerber. As far as I can tell, the only difference in part number across all labels is the first two or three letters. While the picture shows a red bottom washer (hot side), my part did come with a blue washer. The really important part is the direction of turn so that the handles come forward when on and goes to the side when off. This part is correct for the cold (right) side. I noticed two differences between this part and my original cartridge. (1) the stem retainer clip is now plastic versus metal. I imagine if there is a leak and minerals calcify around the clip, it may break more readily. You can always save the old clip and replace the cheap plastic. (2) The ceramic bottom disk on the top has a single slot "-" for seating into the stem. The newer part has a plus "+". The cartridge o-ring and washer fit snugly into the faucet base when inserted and required the bonnet nut to be tightened to seat fully. No leaks when fully assembled. No play in the handle when reinstalled and the amount of force to turn off and on feels normal.

Danze replaces for free

Item is as pictured. I wish it showed the bottom, as it ended up not being the part that I needed. I contacted Danze, and they shipped me both cartridges for free without any proof of purchase... although the new ones are plastic and no longer brass. Solved my leaky faucet for free though!
