Sturdy and Easy to Use

Order this, after my old corkscrew broke. Once again Oxo didn’t disappoint. Very impressive although it is a little large in my drawer, but I can deal with that. I anticipate this will last a long time.

Easy to use with fun styling

You can probably find cheaper corkscrews but this one is fun, it's easy to use and has classic styling. It's not as easy to use as one of those fancy Rabbit corkscrews but, honestly, I can't bring myself to spend a lot of money for just a corkscrew. After all, it really only has one job - take cork out. Well, take cork out IN ONE PIECE. Okay, two jobs: take cork out in one piece and make it easy so that when the cork finally gets loose I don't jerk my arm and hit somebody and knock over the bottle. This one does those jobs and it also looks fun. You can even just stand it on your counter and it'll look good.

She opens a bottle every other day, and this has been going very smoothly for some weeks now. Looks like we made exactly the right choice, plus it looks good laying around wherever.

Smooth operat

I’ve used this for a while because I hate to say something is good then it breaks a week later! So far it is doing the job and seems sturdy. I like the little cap cutter! I hate peeling that foil off!

Works perfectly

Opens wine bottles with ease and does not ruin corks which for me is important as I am collecting them. To remove corks from the opener once the bottle is open simply screw in reverse and it pops out.

Huge!

Maybe it's my lack of experience with this style of corkscrew...(or maybe it's the wine!)...but this has to be the largest corkscrew of this variety I've ever used! You have to be careful when you screw into the cork that you don't go too far down below the cork or it may be hard to remove the cork from this gadget once you've opened the bottle! Other than that, works as expected.

Okay but not good enough

Overall design is good and Metal wings are good. But, the body itself is made of cheap plastic. I don’t think it’s going to last long.
