Got wide only because if you going out in 12 degree Colorado snow you need heavy wool socks. Kept dry and warm on snow shoe excursion in Winter Park Colorado.

It is hard to buy a shoe with correct fir

My size is 10.5 Wide. I have sneakers and dress boots of the same size (10.5W) and they work well (bought physically going into a shoe store). Many shoes in Amazon do not, even, make the Wide version. I tried 10.5, 11 but without wide neither of the sizes work. This one I saw has a 10.5 Wide. So I bought it. When I walked inside my house all felt ok. Then yesterday I went out wearing it as it was raining. Within an hour both of my feet were started hurting. I realized shortly that the "wide" is not wide enough. Additionally, the sole is too hard, inflexible. As a result more I walk more my feet hurt. To be fair I have a very flat foot and I always used prescribed orthotics. I had my orthotics in the shoe, but it still hurts. I am not sure if over the period of time the "wideness" will increase a bit as the material will soften (at least that happens to the sneakers or the leather boots). So I am now trying to decide if I take the chance and hope that over the period it will soften up a bit, or just return it. Other than that all are good. The shoe is pretty well built. Though yesterday's rain was not a big kind of rain, but at least no water sipped in (I deliberately stepped on some puddle of water in the street). Also because my feet was not happy and the sole was inflexible, it felt that in slippery condition I shall lose balance more easily in this boots. May be I shall just return.

I highly recommend these Columbia Snow Boot's! Warm and roomy enough to wear extra thick socks >If Needed. They look so nice and they are "SUPER LIGHT" for a snow boot! I love the soft Grippy rubber soles! Not like the stiff hard rubber soles. These will give you grip from slipping and are So Comfortable>They will keep your feet warm too! I'm going to 10* degree weather in Hokkaido Japan. We'll see how I do...In the mean time. I love them! Columbia has a great reputation and Never Let's Me Down!

Rare winter "hiking-like" boots. A very minor difference between "W" and "regular".

My son and I are in about the same shoe size. I bought "Wide" boots from Amazon and regular boots of the same size from REI, one pair black, one grey, so that we can distinguish them. I tried both and cannot tell the difference between "wide" and regular. I wear regular. My son claims that he can feel some difference. This tells me that the difference is there, but it is minor. Buying "wide" should not be a showstopper if you are in regular. The great thing about these boots is that they are designed as hiking boots, but they are warmer than regular hiking boots and do not have vents. They are very nice for trips to the snow, e.g., ski vacations. Their soles are grippy enough to walk on snow, and they are warm enough to walk around the parking lot or around town on a winter day. They are also waterpoof, as far as I can tell. They are warm but not outrageously warm, one can use them on rainy chilly winter days in the Pacific Northwest when temperature is in the low 40s (like, +5 C) with great comfort. I think they are a great value for the money. Sizing is true to the size. If you are looking for Wide shoes, you might (maybe) find that they do not feel wide enough for you. This is because the difference between Wide and Regular is so minor, as noted above.

Very comfortable, warm, and water/snow tight!

Love the feel, the comfort, most importantly they are water/snow tight. I like the lower boot, than the taller boots. Will be used for this 2022/2023 snowy winter and for years to come. Snowblowing the driveways & sidewalks and working outside.

Me quedó perfecto pero porque ya tenía otro par de esa marca de la misma talla, entonces sabía que talla pedir exactamente, la talla 7.5 en México es la 9.5 para EU, al menos en calzado Columbia.

A well crafted boot

I love Columbia boots they are well made feet never get cold regardless of temperature. I usually get 3-4 years out of a pair. I have been buying men’s and women’s for 6 years and have never been disappointed. Even the colour boots don’t bleed (dye). Definitely would highly recommend this brand of boots
