Comfortable light weight spring jacket

Wish the hood could be hidden. Arm length seems to run a bit large: had to turn the cuff up. Otherwise a good choice for travel and wandering the streets of Amsterdam in the spring!

I Don't Think This is a Fake, it's the Real Deal

Some reviews here are stating these jackets are fake Columbia due to the logo not being embroidered, the omni-tech label on the sleeve being different, not having a tag that says "packable" in the pocket, etc. Prior to purchasing, I went to Columbia.com and in the photos of this jacket (across multiple colors) you can see the logo and omni-tech sleeve label are the same as what's being posted as "fake" here. So I'm fairly confident this is the real deal Columbia Watertight II jacket. I'm guessing Columbia just decided they could save a few bucks by not embroidering their logo, simplifying the omni-tech label, and not sewing a tag that says "packable" inside the pocket. Admittedly the updated logo and omni-tech label don't look as nice, but as long as the jacket performs as intended, these shouldn't be deal breakers (not for me at least). As for the jacket, it looks, feels, and fits pretty much identical to my older Watertight II jacket. I'm 6'2 and weigh 230lbs and the XL fits me fine and had plenty of room to layer a fleece underneath for some extra warmth without restricting movement in the jacket. I haven't tested the water repellency of this particular jacket yet, but anticipate that it will perform the same as my older Watertight II and will block the wind just as well too. I use these jackets for general use on rainy days (commuting, running errands, walking the dog, day hikes, etc) and they perform great for those purposes through spring, summer, fall. I also use them in winter with a fleece, etc underneath, but that's typically if I'm not outside for extended lengths of time or running errands and will be in and out from the car to shops and vice versa. I live in Chicagoland and have an above avg tolerance for cold, just to give a baseline. If you're a hardcore outdoors type, you may want to invest in a different jacket. However, if you're looking for a solid rain jacket for general daily life that will provide years of use and cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 (I got lucky and got mine for $30 after tax) this would be a good choice.

Try before you buy is great if your not sure on the size. It varies so much from brand to brand

I usually find my self wearing XL t-shirts and clothing so I tried the XL in the Olive green. It fits me well; my usual problem is that i am short and stocky. So I have to buy bigger clothes on average and have long sleeves or pant legs as a side effect. These are roomy but the length of the jacket it self and the arm shoulder width are not excessive broad or long. Some what the sleeve are always going to be a factor for me. That is why the Velcro arm cuffs are nice to make that more comfortable. Biggest thing for me was the color green. Its what I like to say as OLIVE. Without trying to sound dumb or arrogate its the same color as the photo; sometime not always the case. Very happy with the try before you buy, the color fit and overall comfort at a reasonable price.

My man loves it!

I got this for my boyfriend as a gift. He wears it daily and always tells me how it’s perfect. It fits him perfectly and it has great pockets and durability. Great as a rain jacket or windbreaker, and it goes with all his clothes! An essential staple in anyone’s wardrobe.

Great price, old tech, but dry

Different colors, great price, layers keep me warmer, Good hood, no pit zips is my preference. I'll take on AT in 2024.

Fits good; features are lacking.

The jacket fit is good but there's shortcomings. No inside vest pocket(s). The Velcro around the wrists and front zipper are annoying. Snaps would be better. One big annoyance is that the lining on the inside of the arms is too abundant. When I put my arm through the sleeve the lining always pokes out the end of my sleeve with my hand by about an inch. This one defect is most annoying as each time the jacket is put on the sleeve lining must be shoved back up the sleeve.

It will perfectly works in moderate rain..100%waterproof...No issues..Blindly go for it...Problem with this raincoat is little bit expensive and it's not breathable to our weather condition in South India..
