I've yet to find a needle that I like better
I've yet to find a needle that I like better than John James or The thimble lady. They are both smooth and last a long time. Thimble lady's needle eyes are just slightly larger, but other than that, they are comparable. I own lots of both and use both.

Excellent...
Excellent quality with no bending or spurs. Ease of passing thru wool to cotton to silk. Definitely one to purchase again.

Great needles
I do a lot of applique, but I never realized what a difference good applique needles could make. These are very, very fine (threading them is a bit of a challenge), and just a tiny bit flexible, so that it's easier to pick up just a couple threads at a time. Highly recommended.

Compare yourself...
I recently had a large hand embroidery?applique project that I decided to thread all of my various needles that I had on hand so I could work without stopping. These needles won hands down for gliding through the fabric. Seriously, hands down. I had some that were more expensive that I felt like I had to "poke" them through while these glided like butter....
