Great ab trainer

Extremely easy to assemble at least for me, the holes lined up perfectly, everything went together smoothly, all set screws tighten up easily. I am rather short so a bit difficult to do advanced crunch per instructions, but I can do the regular crunches and do reverse crunches on the floor without this unit, I have to get used to it as I have been doing swiss ball crunches for years. One star off for headrest which is too small. It should be longer and thicker as the bottom edge of it hits the top of my spine. Will have to get a small pillow to make it more comfortable for me.

Money well spent

I'm trying to get in better shape and lose weight. I also want to strengthen my core. I'm not very good at sit ups or crunches on my own yet. This machine is a great help to build up strength. I plan to use it every day. It was very easy to put together, instructions were clear, all parts included. Took me about 10 minutes. Head rest is surprisingly comfortable IMO. I really can't complain for $21 bucks. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Easy to put together - works well!

I was skeptical after reading the reviews but bought it anyway. It’s almost like the one I had from the late 90s - a teeny bit flimsy but works perfectly. Took 10 mins to put together, by myself - easy as anything. Sure, it gets loose with wear but screwing the pieces tighter gives me something to do while I’m taking a break on the thing so it’s a win win.

Great product at a great price

Fairly easy to put together. Works as it should. Makes crunches so much easier while still giving you a good workout. Actually helps you do more reps!

good design except the head pad foam is way to soft

Love how it allows you to target your abs while supporting the neck; however, the foam is way too soft in the pillow/head support so that the underlying metal hits against the neck vertebra and is painful no matter how I atempt to adjust myself to avoid this. I sent for dense foam to attach ontop of the exiting pillow.

Just what I needed, for the best price

This replaced an identically configured ab trainer that finally fell apart after 15 years. It works just like the old one - which was a centerpiece of my crunch/situp routine which (along with my use of an exercise bike) helped me to lose 50 lbs. over three years. It was a little tricky to assemble, as the instructions had pictures but essentially no text - so it was sort of like building Legos that way. My thick brain finally figured it out, and it works just fine (and so I didn't need to spend another $20 bucks for a "fancier" one). It seems plenty sturdy and it's significantly lighter than my old one, so it's easy to swing it out of the corner where I store it each day and onto the family room carpet for my daily workout.

Directions - terrible - Device fabulously helpful

Of course, you can get it together eventually, however, just a small piece of paper with pictures and without any part numbered was annoying. This is a simple device that allows me to control and strengthen my lower abdomen without hurting my back. It has helped my back pain already and recovering hip replacement pain. I am working to 100 per day in 3 separate intervals. I can do 40-50 in 1 sitting now, not rushing don't want to be sore. If You Need help with Pain look into Youtube - El Paso Manual Physical Therapy. Dr. David took me out of 60% of my pain in 3 days -- brilliant man!

Not a great product

This product isn't really good one off the plastic parts split and as you work out with it it tends to loosen up .
