Not high quality stitching unfortunately but will get me through this injury I hope

The overall weight is very light, 2.9oz on my postal scale. I like the 2 aluminum stays that is why I bought this particular item, for the dorsal stay. The 2 stays are both removable which I was hoping, as I wanted to remove the palm side stay during some chores for better griping. But I was able to shape the stay to fit tighter and keep the support which is even better. I have a brace with just the palm side stay and it was not enough to keep my hand from flexing upwards and causing more pain, especially while sleeping. The stitching is the biggest problem for me, received with fraying and one spot of loose stitching. The velcro tabs are catching on the stitching and fraying both the material and the stitching after just one day and a few removals/wearing. I like the added support of the long velcro tab that goes all the way around the base of my wrist but forces you to unvelcro each time. (my other brace can be slipped on and off) it is used for carpal tunnel. The design is good, the velcro tabs are well sewn and strong, but I would like to have a 3/4" longer velcro tab for the bottom 2 and no velcro on the first 1.5 inches since it is fraying the material/stiching.( I will cut off the velcro hooks if I decide to keep) the velcro is very aggressive and locks in tight/well. The interior material is like a micro fiber, is soft and nice on the skin, brace has a very mild smell out of the package, (my Scott brand brace still has a material odor after several years so zero concern for me) but I did get a little sweaty under the material in not very warm conditions so far as does the Scott brace. The edge stitching wraps around and is very soft, but a weak point for longevity in my opinion. My palm from forefinger to pinky is 3.75" and at bottom of brace my wrist is 8.5" around. Overall length of brace is 6.5" and I can tighten down the velcro at the base of the brace without causing loss of circulation and good support. If this had better edge material/stitching it would be a easy 5 out of the box for me. Most of the brands have do not have wrap around stitching they have material covering the edges which I prefer.

Painfully tight

I definitely followed the sizing recommendations, but I should have sized up anyway. It's way too tight around the thumb.
