Beautiful and solid

Purchased as a gift, which was very well received and compliments any kitchen. The wood patterns are beautiful, and it really holds up... even makes for a conversation piece when displayed on the counter. I recommend.

Great Product That Will Last a Lifetime

I purchased the walnut Boos chopping block two years ago. It is durable, easy to clean and maintain, and worth the money. I also purchased the Boos Mystery Oil and Butcher Block Cream. I maintain mine with the recommended products and haven’t had any problems. I clean it after each use, maintain it using the block cream and mystery oil, and leave it out my countertop year round. It is used almost daily. The walnut does darken and it loses some of the lighter hues over time when treated with the oil, but oil darkens wood over time. If properly cared for (not placed in water and not placed in direct sunlight for years), I imagine this chopping block will last a lifetime.

Arrived looking beautiful, as expected

Arrived looking beautiful, as expected. Oiled it properly. I have several boos wood boards and I know how to properly care for them - this is the first Boos board I have ever purchased that has cracked before being used. It is also the first end grain block - and the last. There are two cracks in the middle area of the chopping surface and one larger crack toward the edge. The cracks were not cracks when I first oiled the block. Seems the glue is not holding. For the price of this chopping block, this is a great disappointment.

Beautiful board even after 2 years

I bought this item in 2018 but I haven’t actually used it as a cutting board bc I think it is too beautiful. I have used Boos cream oil about four times. I haven’t had any issues of splitting or any other defects. Hopefully someone else can get the deal I got in the price buying it directly from amazon without original packaging. I paid $156.00.

Coloring or defects of block

I have requested another butcher block. It arrived with cracks and discoloration. My original block before it cracked was perfect on arrival. This second block was defective.

Wife loves it!

The wife loves this! It was the perfect anniversary surprise and she uses it all the time! Everyone should get the oil and cream for upkeep but happy wife, happy life!

Cracked

Would have been a beautiful addition to the kitchen but had a large crack and one smaller one. Returned due to the cracks.
