Good thing, small package

This is a beautiful, well made, high quality terrine mold. The plating is top notch, the lid fits tight, and it is nice thick gauge metal for heat retention. All of my terrines have come out beautifully so far, even a delicate seafood/scallop based mousse. Certainly a high quality piece. However, the terrine is small. Very small. Your recipe will make enough to fill this three times most likely. Granted, it may be my fault for not calculating the volume of this irregularly shaped item... but the vendor should list the volume on the page for customers to see. On the upside, that small size is somewhat nice, as you can serve multiple small slices if you choose. I'll sum up with this. It's a good product, despite it's small size. Good enough that I might buy two more, just so that I can make all of a single recipe at once.

Top of the Line

Almost overbuilt for a home chef. So solid and so shiny! Perfect for commercial use. Excellent for terrines and pate. Solid, watertight construction. Lid covers the top like a cap, it doesn't crimp or lock in, which is fine.

Like it, molds nicely but too small

My recipe for terrine made at least 3x what this tray will hold. That said, the finished product looked great and molded the meat very well to the right texture.

It arrived on time, was well packaged. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I'm sure it will be just fine. Very well made with a nicely tight fitting lid.

Impossible to clean!!!

It made a very nice veal/pork terrine but it would not clean. I even used commercial degreaser-- with no appreciable results. I have ordered a cast iron replacement.

Not as big as you think

Solid build - but what you can't tell from the description or the photos is that it is not square all the way down. It tapers to the bottom and the bottom is only 1.5 inches wide. So a bit of a disappointment. I expected some taper, but not that much.
