Looks great, but disappointing quality & unacceptable customer service

I love the way this lamp looks in my living room, although it is a little dim at maximum brightness. The lamp it replaced was a halogen torchiere that was noticeably brighter. However, I was very disappointed in the quality of the manufacturing, packaging, and customer service. Given the price of the product, I certainly expected better. The lampshade has small dents in each side, due to insufficiently protective packaging. On the lamp I received, the harp, which holds the lampshade, was malformed, so the shade did not rest properly. The screw that holds the finial cap was attached to the harp at an angle, causing the shade to hang so crooked that it was unusable. I contacted the manufacturer, and was pleased that they responded right away, asking for my PO. I sent them a copy of my Amazon invoice, and they sent me a replacement harp, which I was very happy with. Until I received the replacement harp, that is. It had the exact same problem as the first one! I immediately emailed them again and told them this, and sent pictures to make sure they understood the issue. The response I received was one of the most appalling replies I've ever gotten. Here it is, copied and pasted from the rep's email: "Don't worry, it’s easy. Please use a hammer or plier to straight out." So instead of sending me a properly made product, they wanted me to attack it with tools and try to repair it myself!!! Since I now had two of the defective parts, I figured I had nothing to lose if I broke one of them, so I banged on it with a hammer, and I was actually able to "straight out" enough to make it functional. I decided to just live with the dents in the shade, which I plan to replace when I have time to shop for one.

Great lamp, but shade was dented.

Looks amazing! Solid and well built. However, as with the other reviewer experiences, the shade is dented on all corners. The seller should figure out a way to package it better.

Bought for a son's apartment. Not difficult to put together and I am usually not good with assembling things! Nice design. Unless you are doing a high end home, this piece will look nice in your living room/den.

Great Lamp...Needs New Shade

Lamp is awesome. However lamp shade came in a little damaged. I'll be reaching out to get a replacement shade. Stay tuned. I'll update on customer service.

It's even more impressive in real life. I would gave liked the lamp shade to be a little bigger but I'm most definitely satisfied with my purchase. Sturdy also.

Wonderful floor lamp!!!

This Lamp is well built of excellent materials. Very sturdy. Heft to the base and the shade is beautiful. Love this light.
