SPF protection, unscented

I’ve been looking for an unscented sunscreen for my face for a long time. Just tried this and it’s exactly what I’ve been searching. It’s creamy (which feels so good on my dry skin) and most of all, completely unscented. From now on it’ll be a staple in my cabinet.

Great mineral protection, no breakouts!

I've been using Alba mineral sunscreen for quite a few years as part of my daily facial routine. I put a moisturizer on first, so the sunscreen is easy to spread and rapidly loses the "ghostly white" appearance. I follow up with a tinted moisturizing foundation. I'm in my mid-50s, so my skin tends to be drier, but I do have a few oily areas. I try to only use mineral sunscreen because I worry about the chemicals that they put in the other types. I've never had breakouts or other skin problems using Alba (I also use some of their other lotions). Quality ingredients and great products.

I love using this sunscreen for my face because it has no scent and also it's a little bit hard to spread over the skin but I think that's because of how amazing this sensitive sunscreen is. 10/10

I’d definitely recommend

I really like this sunscreen. I’ve got very very sensitive skin and I hate the feeling of product on my face. This product doesn’t make my face breakout, is easy to use, and doesn’t feel heavy. The only thing about this product is that it takes a bit of time to rub this product into the skin so that white streaks don’t show. But it’s hard to find sunscreen products that don’t leave white streaks. Another thing is that I wish the spf on this sunscreen is higher. Good product overall.

This product is wonderful. I use it religiously. When others get sunburn, I do not. Perhaps some may think it’s pricey, but your skin is worth it.

It is what it is!

I've had this product before but stopped using it because it was drying and not emolient (it used to say 'very emolient') The whitish cast didn't bother me - it contains titanium dioxide and this is what happens! Also it was like spreading toothpaste onto your skin. It didn't spread well and left my hands dry. I assumed this was the downside of zinc oxide. HOWEVER... it has been improved! Now it spreads well, rubs in better, white cast disappears and it doesn't feel quite so dry. As for the sticky feel.. well that's what you get with a good percentage of zinc, and you need that if you want a mineral sunscreen that stays on the surface of your skin and is not harmful to the environment. Also, you can have sun exposure right away. With chemical sunscreens you have to wait 20 mins while they absorb down into your skin not to mention what they do there and to the environment...No Brainer!

Excellent for sensitive eyes that water

I bought this for the first time this year (2022) but so wish I’d found it before now. My eyes puff up, sting and water so badly with most sunscreens even those ones that say they’re for sensitive skin or babies. I’ve tried an enormous range of sunscreens for sensitive skin and paid a ridiculous amount of money trying to get one that doesn’t make me want to tear out my eyeballs! I thought I’d try this and it’s fabulous. Yes, it’s a bit tricky to rub in - but it does eventually (tip - put your moisturiser on first, let it absorb then put this on - goes on much easier than straight on to dry skin). Yes, it leaves a temporary white cast but just don’t use too much, rub it in well, and it will sink in after a short while. No, it doesn’t go on silky smooth like chemical creams and it’s a bit of a faff - but if you have sensitive skin or eyes this works and works really well. It leaves a kind of lovely moisturised matte finish once the cream has settled (and the white cast does disappear). No real scent, no reactions, very effective. I’m really so glad and relieved I found it. 5*.

Satisfied

The most affordable mineral sunscreen I've ever bought that does what it says. It's not drying, not sticky and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It leaves only a slight white cast that seems to disappear later on and it helps if you really massage the cream into your skin. My eyes don't sting like they usually do from other sunscreen products so I'm happy with it, perfect for my sensitive skin and the environment. P. S. The red bumps on my face are not from this cream they're from a serum I used the previous night.

Excellent- but keep in fridge!

Great sunscreen, oily but great for dry skin in particular. I have acne prone skin and my acne treatments dry my skin out, this suncream really helped moisturise and repair the dryness from acne creams etc I found it really good, just wish I'd kept it in the fridge though as after a month it started to go really strange when I squeezed it out of the bottle, it would separate into a kind of half water half oil mixture, like it had gone off. I contacted Amazon customer service and returned it for a full refund. I would definitely buy this suncream again but keep it in the fridge as it's organic and the oils go off easily.

Good for sensitive skin

I think it's a really good spf for the price. I was a bit sceptical about the claim that it's good for sensitive skin as it contains quite a few botanical ingredients which often irritate my skin but I've been using it for around a week now and so far so good! Probably not ideal for oily skin types as it's quite thick and greasy (if you have a fair complexion and like a matt finish I recommend a Korean sunscreen Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk - only good if you don't have any dry patches though!) I quite like the dewy finish. Not all make up looks good on top of it - it made my cream concealer cake and gather in fine lines but pressed powder mineral foundation looks great with it (and makes the face less shiny). There's a bit of a white cast but that's normal with a mineral sunscreen and it almost disappears after rubbing in. I'd give it 5 stars if it was a little thinner and easier to spread
