Not lined

My husband was disappointed with these because in the video it shows that they are clearly lined underneath, but then what we received was not lined. They fit true to size. Pockets with zippers are great. They’re lightweight and the perfect length for what he was looking for. Price is a little high for these shorts, especially since they’re unlined.

Nice but too loose for me

The material and construction of these shorts is good but the legs fit a lot more loosely than I would like. I prefer my workout shorts to be more fitted. The material is very lightweight. Pockets are small. Overall I like these but I don't love them.

Nice shorts, if overpriced.

Note: These were selling for approximately sixty dollars at the time of this review. TYR's Athletic Performance shorts are made from soft and nicely stretchy fabric. The fabric moves and breathes well. The deep red color is rich and attractive. The shorts feel high quality, but the few loose threads hanging were an unfortunate detail at this price point. Indeed, these shorts don't look or feel any more special than similar shorts I have from Adidas that were half the cost. In a size medium they fit me nicely as a 5'6" and 135 pound male. Typically I would get a small, but that size was not available at the time. They are roomy, but not baggy, and they hit me about 1/3 of the way up my thighs. Short, but not revealing. There is a small zippered pocket on the right hip. It is not that large, but fit my iPhone 12 Mini okay. I doubt a larger phone would fit. You can also use the pocket to hold keys, credit cards, and/or cash. I washed them in my front load washer using cold water and dried them on low heat. They came out perfectly, but the wrinkles from shipping are still a bit visible. All in all... lovely shorts, if expensive.

Lightweight and sharp looking

I like these shorts quite a bit. I have had other products from this brand and, like these shorts, they tend to be well designed and made from good fabrics. The look of this black camo style is really sharp, in my opinion. These are unlined, so they are especially light. The fabric hangs correctly and launders well. I still prefer a slightly longer short leg design and if you do also, these may not be your best choice. But I can wear them with compression shorts underneath and counter that issue. This is a real good pair of shorts and I expect them to last a long time.

Great shorts with a bit of stretch

The Tyr 6 inch shorts are made in PRC (china). The shorts are made with a fabric that is 54% recycled polyester, 32% polyester, and 14% spandex. The fabric has good two way stretch from the top to bottom and not side to side. The shorts are comfortable for all day wear or a long run. The shorts are well made and have a drawstring. I am a size 36/38 waist, and the large fits loose on me. These are great shorts. 5 stars

Nice workout shorts - stretchy, water repellent, and fast drying.

These are good shorts. The quick-drying fabric is lightweight and fairly soft -- a tiny bit crispy (if you know what I mean), not satiny soft like the shorts I'm replacing. Lots of elastic stretch throughout all the fabric. The legs are loose and don't constrict in any way -- good for running. The single pocket is zippered (nice!) and is just big enough to fit my phone which is 3" x 6.5". I have a 32" waist and the medium size is a decent fit, although the elastic waist is pretty snug and I have no need to use the drawstring. If you have a 35" waist, I think the large size would be a more comfortable fit.

Lightweight short short, excellent for a workout

This is the length of short I wore in the 80s, it’s PERFECT! The shorter length doesn’t restrict movement at all and provides for good air flow to keep you cool during a workout. The material and sizing are both good. Nice workout short.

Great workout shorts

Great workout shorts! Well made, from a slightly stretchy material that gives when you move. The cut and fit are excellent. They have two pockets on the side- They are a little on the small side, more for keys and such and definitely not cell phones. They have zippers on them to keep your items contained. Fit is great, and they are true to size.
